*POP* Dating - How to make it work!

On a recent advertisement on TV, I heard that 1 in 5 relationships now begin from online dating! I'd have to say this is probably true as many of my clients are finding themselves online anyways, so why not look for love?! Here's where what I call POP (or Pages of Pictures) dating comes about! It's rather easy to look at someone's profile on any number of dating sites, send a message and strike up some conversation. But what about when it comes to meeting?? The day in and day out situations you'll have occurring? Sometimes even after the first meeting it can be back to the pages, sometimes forgetting any prior connections and conversations that have come about before the fated meeting! But why? What was it in the first meeting that changed things from magical to splitsville? The #1 reason why POP dating first time meetings don't work? HONESTY! If one person is falsely representing themselves, within the first meeting, you'll know... and why would you want to believe anything they've said previously!? So it's back to the POP and back to trying to find the love you're wanting. So how DO you manage to find someone through POP dating?

1- Make a list of what you're really looking for... STICK TO IT!! The moment you compromise is the moment you tell the Universe that you don't think you deserve what you really want!

2- Know that just because you "know" this person online, you don't know how they react to situations on an ongoing basis. They might seem very easy going online, but once together you may see this in another light as possibly laziness?

3- Realize that *some* bragging or boasting will be part of things... EVERYONE does this!! I mean here we are trying to put our best out there for someone to say I'm picking YOU! So just how embellishments come with any other situation, expect it here as well!

4- Take things slowly once moving from online to off.. Let your energies get used to being around one another. Try not to allow things to slide back to being more online though as it'll be more important to start integrating the physical reality into things.

I'm sure, of course, that sooner or later, there might just be a little too much of the POP dating and you might want to give up! That's where I can be of help! Taurus (April 20 - May 20)- You might just be emotionally exhausted or feel at a sense of loss this week. Your patience has finally worn thin! While you could be ready to give up at this point, just remember tomorrow is always another day and are things REALLY that bad or are you just so fed up that seeing the light at the end of a tunnel seems more like a dream? Count your current blessings and try to keep the faith that things always have a way of working themselves out! Just because it's not the path you thought you were going to take doesn't make it the wrong one.







Gemini (May 21 - June 20)- Things may have been smoothly sailing along, but it looks like this week may bring you somewhat of an upset. Communication could be broken down and perspectives aren't being seen for what they should be. This will be a time to find some balance and try to connect again with what your emotions are trying to tell you. Have you been compromising a little too much to please someone? Any differences that have caused problems are now at a time to solve! Lay it all out there! If you don't let anyone know what you're feeling, how are they supposed to know?





 
Cancer (June 21 - July 22)- The Queen of Wands reversed may be telling you to slow it down just a bit so you don't burn yourself out! Creativity is bursting and you're feeling inspired by all sorts of things, but if you don't harness that energy it will continue to burn wildly and eventually, burn out. Take some time to make some decisions on what needs to be your focus and be given attention and what can sit on the back burner for now. You don't need to achieve it all right now anyways, and if you keep pushing for it, you won't! Take this week to find what'll bring you fulfillment.






Leo (July 23 - Aug 22)- You're on your path.. at the moment! Is it really the path you want though? You might just be contemplating that right now. Either way, give in, let go, and just focus on the happiness that is! Don't lose sight of what's right in front of you or when you do make it to where you think you're going, you could end up with an entirely different outcome than what you've expected. Now is not the time to be selfish or let your prideful nature get the better of you! You'll need to support of others throughout your journey. Don't close yourself off to the experience.







Virgo (Aug 23 - Sept 22)- You've allowed yourself some optimism finally! It took some time, but life is starting to give you a break. There's a renewed sense of confidence and some new opportunities have been opening themselves up to you, presenting you even more options to pursue! All of your friendships this week seem to work out in your favor. You might even find a compliment from someone that usually give you a tough time! And you can sigh a deep breath of relief as this week brings you the renewed faith you've been searching for. By the time the weekend comes around you'll definitely be feeling the love!






Libra (Sept 23 - Oct 22)- Something could catch you totally off guard this week or that unfinished business you though wouldn't be a big deal, suddenly is! If you get an "I told you so" don't get upset.. you really should've seen this coming! You can take this time to make what's wrong right and get things back on track. You may have to do it alone, but be strong in knowing you can clean up your own mess! Accept what's going on, but know that it too shall pass and another day will come bringing hope and better situations. At least try to kick your feet up on the weekend!







Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 21)- You might just receive the best news ever this week! If you're expecting news of a job, this could be it. Otherwise you may stumble upon a new way of doing things that'll have you being more productive! You're confident and feeling an upbeat enthusiasm for life. Working with Animal Spirit Guides

Working with your animal spirits or totems doesn't need to be tough! You probably are already, in some sort of capacity, connecting with your animal energies. These animal spirits aid us on our path of self discovery and teach us about life and the world as we perceive it! The life of a cheetah will not be the same as the life of a bumblebee!! But both are equally as important.

Animal spirits can often be revealed in our dreams, and also by meditation. At this time it is important to pay attention to any information the animal passes on. Also keeping in mind the scenario being presented as well and if or how it pertains to life situations. Animals are instinctive. So they will react to their situations very differently than humans!

You may want to start keeping a journal or devote a section in a notebook or your Book of Shadows (BOS) on your animal guides. You guides, for the most part, are with you for life and RARELY change. There are secondary guides that may come and go, but you have 9 primary animal totems that are a part of you from the beginning!

Things you will want to keep track of:

○ What sort of animal was it? Did it fly or swim? Does it have fur or scales?
○ Did the animal act naturally or directly with you? Did the animal interact with other animals or humans? Were the same types of animals interacting?
○ Were you in the animals natural environment or another?

You may also want to take a look at a few other ways animals impact you:

○ Favorite childhood and current pets. Animals you seem to naturally connect with.
○ Animals you do not like, negative associations you have with them. (ex. snakes are "slimy")
○ Any animals you seem to notice on a regular basis; what do you feel they are trying to
tell you, do they appear at certain times?

I have been working with my guides lately and have been looking more into my animal guides. I feel kinda weird though about mine.. Since I was little, I have always had a pet rat! And I found out a few years ago I was born in the year of the rat!! I do love them so much and I understand my affinity to them. I just am not entirely sure what it is I'm supposed to learn? Do you have any ideas for me to try? Thanks for your suggestions!

Rats are pretty cute Macy, though I know what you're saying about people's misconceptions about them! I like all sorts of little critters too! And actually, one of my totem animals is the mouse! But there is a difference, so let's focus on rats.

In Chinese and Japanese Astrology, rats are the first animal in the zodiac. Rats have attributes such as charming, humorous, honest, and meticulous. The Chinese say those born in these years make wise advisors, yet they can never make decisions for themselves and change directions in life constantly. Sometimes, Rats struggle for power and money, leading some to gamble and others to be manipulative or deceitful. Another problem is that they can worry needlessly, especially about their health, which creates stress and may manifest actual health problems. Rats need their space and independence, but also crave love and companionship.

Meditation focusing on these conditions may help you find more of the knowledge you have inside yourself! :) This can simply be achieved that while in a meditative state, consider the qualities of a rat, pull those emotions into your self and in the ways it is manifesting in your life. Are you being indecisive? Are you worrying about things that you KNOW you can't control or change at this moment? Are you letting that money burn a hole in your pocket any time it's there? While the rat may be one of your totem animals, you didn't happen to mention which position the rat was in for you. So we will need to discuss this a little more off the blog!

This question actually came about while I was mid draft through 2 articles that I'm working on.. totem animals and animal magick! It just seems to happen that way sometimes! Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 21)- Be careful you're not coming across the wrong ways to others this week! Unless you genuinely don't care about their opinion. You're tired of the drama and negativity and want to focus on something new and constructive for yourself. That's not to say that it'll be 100% put into motion, but at least you're willing to set out on a new path. And if it doesn't work out, it was a learning experience! A down to Earth Taurus might be able to help in your venture. Now is not time to give up, you just need to clean out the cheering section!







Sagittarius (Nov 22 - Dec 21)- With the 4 of Wands reversed, your foundation may be on shaky ground. You may have received some good news in the last 2 weeks, but it's not time to celebrate just yet! Numbers Everywhere

It never fails that whenever I start thinking about numbers or numerology, I immediately start hearing "numbers, numbers, everywhere!". I must have seen that Blues Clues episode a few too many times, but that can happen when you have kids! It very much is the truth though and numbers ARE everywhere!! This is somewhat a secondary posting off of my 11:11 Are YOU Awakened? post. While they are somewhat different topics, the numbers meanings hold true across many modalities.

Numerology is the study of numbers and their influence on life. It's an arithmetic system that reveals your character, personality, and experiences through applying daily and yearly progression. Numerology can provide a deep karmic profile when we apply the meaning of individual numbers to our birth name, given name and birth date. Just as a natal astrological chart is cast at the time of your birth and gives you an outlook on your life, numerology has the capability of doing the same thing. By using your name and your birth date, a numerologist is able to provide an interpretive profile.

The numbers of our name describe the things we were born knowing. The numbers of our birth date describe the things we need to learn. By adding the birth month and day with the current year, we're given our Personal Year Number. The most common of Numerology readings is the Life Path Number, which takes the birth month, day, and year.
