December 31st - January 6th Tarotscopes

Happy New Years!! Here we go with a new year! And there seems to be so much hope and stability coming from so many! Numerologically 2013 is a universal number 6. 6 is a number of balance, simplicity, unconditional love; and the thought of as above, so below. Astrologically the 6th house is one of self-improvement and daily routines... the work of everyday life.

I see this year as one of change.. some of it will be rather sudden and some of it will be mellow! However it comes about, it looks as though it will really be for the best and EXACTLY how it is supposed to be. It will be a year that brings us closer to ourselves, but also to one another. There will be much to be learned this year. But for now, let's just see what we can expect for the first week of the new year!

Aries (Mar 21 - April 19)- Your ruling planet Mars is currently in Aquarius, your 11th house of groups and friendships; hopes and dreams, and The Devil reversed is reminding you to allow yourself to open up to the help of others. While you like to do things on your own and take pride in your accomplishments, a lot can be learned from sharing responsibilities! Taurus (April 20 - May 20)- Emotionally you may feel as though it is time to clear up any misunderstandings that have happened with those you care most for. Gemini (May 21 - June 20)- This week you are expecting some sort of validation for your efforts and your focus is going to be on how you can expand your prosperity for the coming year. If you spread yourself too thin over many projects, you're likely not to finish any of them! Take some time to decide what will be the best course to take with the outcome you're wanting and stick with it. Patience will be needed, but with a little determination you'll be able to achieve the success you're looking for!

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)- Your wishes will be granted! The harmony you have been working so hard for is finally starting to be realized. This comes from a feeling of gratitude as well. The ruler of your 4th house, Venus, has been in Sagittarius and your 6th house of routines giving you a balance between work, relationships, and home life that you have been creatively managing! Things have fallen into a steady rhythm and you'll be able to keep this going if you don't allow the little things to weigh you down. It isn't always about providing for others.. take time for yourself as well!

Leo (July 23 - Aug 22)- Already doubting those resolutions will come to fruition? Let's not surrender before the fight even begins! You know it's time for change, but only you can get yourself out of this rut! Let go of the fear of things being different and bring yourself into the light. And please don't try and place the blame and responsibility on others. You need to put that Leoine pride to good use, or better yet, your money where your mouth is! When you give, you get. You want the best that the world has to offer you and it's time that you give your best to the world!

Virgo (Aug 23 - Sept 22)- Your quest for perfection has fallen short in some way. But don't give up while there's still time to follow your dreams. Tomorrow is another day and you deserve peace of mind! This may be the hardest decision you have EVER had to make, but aren't you worth it? Your heart might not be meeting up with your head and trying to weigh out the pros and cons isn't what's going to make any sense. Maybe you really are where you wanted to be and now you are questioning it.. Either way, you need to figure it out! Don't sacrifice happiness for comfort.

Libra (Sept 23 - Oct 22)- The scales are out of balance and you could be worried about when you'll be able to slow down. If you need to let something go to regain your sanity, it's just the way it needs to be! Don't be completely discouraged by the situations. Focus on what's most important and take things step by step and you'll be able to accomplish what is going to best suit you. The rest will fall away and you can re-evaluate if it was something that you needed to do in the first place. Just don't scrap everything and start from scratch or you'll be in the same spot.

Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 21)- Your faith could be being tested, but you know that you're making the right decision in things.You'll be able to sigh with relief once things have come to fruition. Moving forward will cleanse you from the ties that held you down! Emotionally you may be a little erratic, but it happens to everyone occasionally! The choices you've made haven't been easy and now you will be rewarded for your courageousness. Compromise isn't in your vocabulary any longer. You know if those around you don't understand that, that they don't understand you. Your happiness ultimately comes from how you feel about yourself!

Sagittarius (Nov 22 - Dec 21)- Are you waiting for an invitation to change things? It's important to learn from the past, but don't get stuck there. You won't be able to instantly make things better though! It's going to take a plan and time. If you've just been coasting by, it's time to ask more of yourself! Don't expect others to fix things or figure it out for you either... you need to stand on your own two feet. Contributing to the greater good will give you more of the satisfaction you are looking for. Even if it seems inconsistent with what you're used to, you'll be able to make a difference in things for yourself as well as others!

Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 19)- You'll need to be careful this week of getting caught up in things that you know aren't going to benefit you. There's no easy way out, no get rich quick schemes that'll bring you what you're wanting. While you're usually so capable, try not to shut down emotionally and allow those that want to help you to do so! You need to start chipping away at the things causing you the most burdens. Even if that means that it's done with tough love. This is the time for you to get on the right track... maybe that idea you gave up on would really bring you the most happiness if you give it a shot!?

Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 18)- This week might have you feeling a little unsure of where you stand in the world and wanting to fit in. You usually revel in your individuality but if you're wanting stability, you'll need to allow yourself to be a little vulnerable. Detaching yourself from things isn't going to bring you the clarity you're seeking. And throwing yourself too much into something as an avoidance tactic will only bring you to a place mentally that will be hard to get out of. Sometimes you can be too understanding and it's time to decide if it's worth it before resentment becomes a dividing factor. Just be careful as misery does love company!

Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 20)- If you're feeling overwhelmed by the prospects that the new year is bringing; rein it in a little!! Things may be at a new beginning, but it doesn't mean that everything is gone from the past. You can still rely on the comforts of your traditional planet Jupiter still being in your 4th house of stability for now. If you're not ready to tackle things yet, that's fine. You don't need to feel like there is a deadline that you're needing to meet. Just take things day by day. It's always better to live in the present than to worry about the future.. it comes soon enough!

New Year's Resolutions & The Law of Attraction

It's that time again!!! WOW, where did the year go?! It definitely seems like for me that the last 2 years have gone by so quickly... but that's what having babies does to you! And then before ya know it you're working on their schoolwork! Let me tell ya I'm sooo looking forward to my daughter hitting the teen years this coming year! LOL!

So here we are with making our resolutions for the upcoming year. And will we fall flat with some of them? Of course! Two of the biggest resolutions that get made are to lose weight and quit smoking. Both exceptionally tough to maintain! But does that mean that we've failed? Absolutely not! Every day we wake up, and actually every moment, we're given the chance to make a change!

The Law of Attraction WORKS. But it's also something that can be misunderstood. Mostly because a lot of people are under the assumption that manifesting comes about simply by wanting it, but it really comes about by LIVING it and by being grateful. Let's take the example of wanting more money. By receiving more money there can be a false security that it'll bring more happiness. Maybe you can buy more things, but maybe the debt will also end up increasing as well... and then you're left at the same place that you were at when you had LESS money! It really is true that money can't buy happiness! Just as losing weight won't make you happier either.. the focus on one "imperfection" just end up switching over to another. Coming to a point in life where you're able to be grateful for what IS, makes for a more peaceful life. Accomplishments seem to come about easier and are more cherished when there isn't the stress to succeed! When the stress becomes a factor, the focus becomes off balance and we either desire MORE or we just give up and start the cycle all over again.

Do I encourage making resolutions? Absolutely! If you look up the word resolution, one of the definitions is; the mental state or quality of being resolved or resolute; firmness of purpose. It really is the conscious choice of making a change! But we all know change can be tough! I look at resolutions as a way to reaffirm what we just haven't been able to achieve.. YET! But as long as we keep working at them, they'll happen when they're supposed to.. NOT when we think they should or try to force them to come about! I am all for organizing and making lists. In fact, I'd like to share this great blog planner for anyone else that might need it from Confessions of a Homeschooler. You can bet that I've been putting it to good use today while I've been manifesting during this Full Moon! I know I keep saying that I'm going to try blogging more and keep falling short... but this time, I'm really hoping to make it stick!!

Accept Nothing But The Best! Quality Over Quantity!

This image totally had me laughing!! When I first went on a mission to find a good one there was a closet full  of shoes, which while it was great and conveyed the message well.. I thought this one was cuter! And we all know I'd much rather have something be humorous than be dull and boring! Anyways, let's get into this post!

So, things have been rather interesting through this Mercury Retrograde period... and as it moved out of Sagittarius and back into Scorpio, I've noticed more of an inward reflection coming about from many people. Some of them have been good, others maybe not so much. But hey, everyone's got their things to deal with in their own way. Which is how this post came about!!

For a while I've felt that I was selling myself short. Anyone that knows me well, knows that I'm not really one for confrontation. I would much rather come to a compromise.. even if it usually ends up that I'm the one compromising a little more than someone else! However, there comes a point when compromising too much ends up causing more problems than it's worth!! Now I might be going a little off track some, but it'll make sense.. I hope! LOL!

I've had clients ask me "how come you charge different amounts at different sites?!". The reason for this is because of commission and payment structure. One site I just started with has a grace period to which they start you off at a set price and once you are past that, you can change it. It's the cheapest at the moment.. so if you find me there; you're definitely getting a HUGE deal! However, another site I've worked on for years takes HALF of my pay and they only pay once a month. Which with 4 kids, definitely takes some bill juggling to make sure things are paid on time!! Another site, I pay a smaller commission and am paid automatically, although besides their commission I end up paying fees on the payments. Sooo.. the short explanation is that I charge what I can on the sites based on what the commission is! I always try to be as fair as possible and $2.00/minute is what I charge my personal clients that are not going to these sites. The standard going rate for services within a metaphysical shop in most major cities is between $1.50 - $3.00/minute.

Ok so back to the quality over quantity... Now, on occasion I will offer my services at a discounted "special" rate. Actually I'll be having one in the next few days for Thanksgiving! So keep your eyes peeled! However, sometimes clients take this as that I've now lowered my rate and they should be able to keep receiving this rate for their sessions. This unfortunately happens more times than I'd like and has led me to question whether specials are something I should offer. But my guides say yes, so I just listen! But this reliance of a discounted rate then ends up creating more of a dependency on readings and it because more of a quantity over quality situation! A client may spend more time in a session and not really being focused because they feel they are able to take more time chit chatting than if they were focused on getting to the heart of the matter. And while chit chatting is perfectly acceptable within a reading, the main focus should be getting the information that you are direly seeking! And NOT seeking it out every other day either!!! There needs to be a self-reliance on your own intuition to bring yourself closer to the Universe! If you are seeking it through others, you will only end up feeling further away when you try to figure out the "quality" of the information you are receiving!

Now.. unfortunately this brings up another point I have to make. In this day and age of "drive thru service" there has become quite the influx of spiritual and/or psychic "gurus". I am eternally grateful that I've been able to study with some of the absolute best mentors. However, there are many that pick up a deck of Tarot cards or read a book, give a couple readings to themselves and friends and think, "Oh I can make money doing this". And while I DO mentor many people that somewhat come from this train of thought, I let them know upfront that practicing in an unscrupulous way will do nothing for them in the long run. There's a reason I've been able to work solely in this line of work for the last 12 years... it's because I'm honest. Am I wrong at times? Sure. I'm only human.. I might not interpret something my guides give me in the right way or there's always this pesky thing called free will that can change in a blink of an eye. But for the most part, I'm rather eerily accurate with things. Unfortunately though there is a lot of talk between those of us that are honest about the "sweat shop psychics" that have been popping up lately. They not only are hurting the sites that we work on, they're hurting the whole industry with the mockery they are making of our work! I akin them to the knockoff purses.. they might look the part on the outside, but they most certainly are NOT the real deal!

To which I now need to make another extremely valid point... there is NO governing entity that will certify that someone's training means any more than the paper it is printed on. So while there may be those out there with Master Tarot Reader certifications or whatever, they don't mean a damn thing! In this line of work, you must be EXTREMELY diligent with your research in who you would trust to give you advice with your life choices. While I do have certifications within certain fields, I don't feel as though they entirely convey the quality of service I strive to give! There are very good mentors that are still available and there are some that have given up because of this whole certification collecting mentality that suddenly came about. Whether or not someone has a certification is not going to help you know whether the information you receive is going to be accurate. That only comes from trusting yourself and the trust you feel from their genuineness to help you!

So I definitely want to close out this post in saying.. do your research! ANY psychic, reader, healer, or mentor should have no problems answering questions about themselves to you before you look to them for services. If they're only out for the money.. they're not going to have your best interests in mind and will most likely only be telling you what you want to hear! Most sites will have reviews that can somewhat give some insight into how accurate a reader may be, however, some of these reviews may also be FAKE. Word of mouth can be really great and most honest readers are more than happy to give referrals if they don't feel they would be able to assist you. Get to really know your reader and definitely don't put us on any sort of pedestal! We're really no different than anyone else.. as I always say... EVERYONE IS PSYCHIC!!!

Happily Ever After Someday

First off I have to say that I am NOT a licensed psychologist, but I most certainly deal with relationship issues on a daily basis! So when I was scrolling through my facebook feed I saw Romantic Comedies Are Ruining Your Relationship and thought I should give it a read considering romcoms are one of my favorite genres!

What had me frustrated with this article was how it said these movies "bear no resemblance to genuine human interaction." Well, quite frankly, that's not the truth.. because aren't most movies/tv shows based on personal experiences from the writers point of view? Granted it is the same recycled story over and over by this time, but there IS some truth to be had from them. I'm sure I can think of any number of stories from shows that fit into my friends or families relationships! My husband and I just watched What To Expect When You're Expecting the other day and I guess that fits into a romcom! Seeing that we just had our 4th baby in June, the days of pregnancy are not all that far behind us and we laughed at the situations in the movie we just recently had dealt with. My husband and I have been together for almost 18 years and it hasn't been all fairy tale fun.. hell, even the D word has come up in the past! But ALL relationships take work! And it's exceptionally important to remember that everyone is going to have their own feelings. No one is going to feel EXACTLY the same, and certainly not at the same time, for the same reasons!

Don't get me wrong, there were some poignant parts in the article as well.. especially that people don't change unless they really want to. But that doesn't necessarily just apply in the relationship realm! And another GREAT article I read a few days ago called 16 Ways I Blew My Marriage came from a man's perspective, definitely shows how men and women can process things differently!! What one person considers cheating, another may not. Even what one person considers putting in effort, another might think they're slacking! There's a reason why doctors use a pain scale.. so it's obviously NOT the one that I chose for my graphic! LOL! But y'all know me to have a sense of humor! But one person's 5 is another person's 10! Kinda along the lines of beauty being in the eye of the beholder!

So.. do I think any man or woman should "wait around" for their love to come around? Absolutely not! But that doesn't mean to cut them off at the knees either!! It's all in what you would feel is right or wrong for yourself. And NO ONE can or should make those sorts of life changing decisions for you!

Of course, this is just my opinions on things! But in my own experiences in my relationships and marriage and the experiences I have with my clients.. I will say that love CAN conquer all! As I finish up writing this blog I'm watching Once Upon a Time.. coincidence; not a chance!

30 Days To Change

When I first had the idea for this post it was mostly based off of my post 30 Days To Finding Love. That and I've been watching the show 30 Days on Netflix! And then today while I was outside I had a volunteer come up to the house to see if I wanted to receive my ballot in the mail, which I already have sent in my info to receive it! So, on that note... PLEASE VOTE! If you need to register to vote, it needs done ASAP as most states require you to register 30 days before the election. Current election countdown: 37 days!! I gotta be honest.. I've been able to vote for the last 4 elections, but when you're young it's not really something you think is all that important and the last election was the first I took part in... and let me say, it was TRULY empowering! So get out there and vote because your opinion matters! And it doesn't matter if our opinions are different, everyone is entitled to make their own decisions. Which is what is really being shown on the show 30 Days! Brief summary; take one person who has an opinion and see if they can live with their opposition for 30 days. It really is VERY eye opening with some of the situations people are put in. Especially the episode where a man had lost his job being outsourced to India. If you can catch the series, definitely give it a look!

Now obviously this post isn't going to be like my other one, but hey that's OK! Today's the Full Moon and lemme tell you, it seems like EVERYONE is really being affected by it's transforming energy! I know I am and I can't wait to see what it brings about! And really it doesn't take 30 days to make a change... changes come about by consciously making a choice moment by moment! But within 30 days, or a moon cycle if you want to look at it that way, you really can bring about a more cohesive routine into your life! Routines and schedules are great! Everything in nature is routine. Heck, not to bring up 30 Days again, but the episode where he lived on the Native American reservation he was expected to wake up every morning for a run to greet the Sun! And in some ways there are routines that we have come to live with that we might not always enjoy; e.g. WORK! Lots of people are dissatisfied in their J.O.B.s (Just Over Broke). But there are those routines that we are able to create for ourselves that can bring about the change that we want for ourselves whether it be a better income, relationship, physique, or even state of mind!

So for 30 days, starting on October 1st.. let's all keep a journal (mine'll just be a notebook or maybe I'll post some to facebook too!) and every day until October 31st when with Samhain or Halloween and the Turn of the Wheel, see what we can manifest for ourselves! Write down at least one goal - go ahead and elaborate your ideas on how you would achieve this if you want. Be able to really solidify your plan within your mind and see yourself achieving success! Also write down at least one thing you are grateful for! It's important to reflect on the good things that are there in life and it makes it much more appreciative when success comes about.. and keeps you a little grounded! Doreen Virtue's Angel Tarot Cards Review

So things have been a little hectic; shoot when AREN'T they when you've got 2 kids under the age of 2?! LOL! My last post was actually 10 days before I had my daughter! But now that all the Summer fun and excitement is slowing down into the nice rhythm that Fall brings, I'm hoping to be able to put some more time back into the blog! I have been working on some things and trying out some new techniques, which is great because sometimes it's nice to get out and do things a little different! So I plan on letting y'all know on my findings. Which brings me to this post!

The last few months I've been working with Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine's Angel Tarot Cards. For those of you who might not know of Doreen's work, rather than me gush over how much I LOVE The Lightworker's Way or her Angel Therapy Oracle Cards, you can learn more about her at her website http://www.angeltherapy.com.

So before doing anything with the cards, even looking at them... I'll clear the deck of unwanted energy. Who knows how long they might have been in a box absorbing any energy around!?! I'll hold it in my left hand (receiving hand) and tap it once lightly with the knuckles of my right hand (sending hand). This is mentioned within the book with the cards, but I have been doing it that way for years. Then I charge the deck with Reiki, bless it with some sage, and ask for the deck to guide me with true knowledge and intent.

The artwork by Steve A. Roberts is absolutely STUNNING! It's one of the reasons I had to have the deck! But I have to be honest. I didn't immediately click with them when I started off. Maybe it is because of the hype I'd heard of them being "safe" and I was expecting it to be a little different. I actually had put off buying the deck because of that reason! So I'll say this; I don't think you can really have a "safe" deck. That's kinda like saying you have a "safe" relationship. What kind of depth would be there then?? I guess a better way to explain it is that the information is just given in a gentler way! Take for instance the description on the 5 of Water (cups); it says, "Things not turning out the way you'd hoped. Not seeing the positive in a situation. Crying over spilled milk." Rather than an in your face approach, it's more like a good friend that doesn't want to come right out and say you're being a complete idiot about something and you just need to use your head a little more! LOL!

There's some things that I don't think would entirely be that good for someone that doesn't have a competent  knowledge of the Tarot even though there are interpretations on the cards. For one, some of the standard card names have been altered. The Fool has been renamed "The Dreamer", the Hierophant is called "Unity", Hanged Man is renamed "Awakening", Death is "Release", Temperance becomes "Balance", the Devil is "Ego", the Tower is "Life Experience" and Judgment is "Renewal". I don't see any problems in these changes. They really do fit rather well within the readings I've been using the cards for and they give some VERY accurate information! Also in this deck the Justice card is card eight and Strength is card eleven, which IS the traditional placement; however most decks these days have them reversed. So this could throw you off if it isn't something you've encountered before. Here is what is comprised of the Major Arcana and the angels that have been assigned to the cards...

Now, I gotta say there's a couple things that I don't like about the deck... hey, this is a review after all! For one, it's HUGE! They're about an inch wider and half an inch taller than most standard decks. It doesn't make shuffling easy, that's for sure! Or maybe I just have small hands? LOL! The other major thing I don't like is the back. Since I use reversals in my readings, I don't like being able to tell which is upright and what is reversed from the back of a card. It's rather apparent when you have an upside down angel looking at you! But really those are the only two things I can say that I don't like!

They are exceptionally well made though and the card stock seems a little thicker than some other flimsy decks. The care and research that went into the deck creation is more than apparent! Of course the imagery is what is most important to me and the emotions evoked from them. Which is why I was wanting to purchase the deck in the first place! I put a few up of some of my faves and you can see a good sampling of cards by doing a quick search on Google or go over to Aeclectic Tarot! It does NOT do them justice though as they are vibrant and glossy! Some may be concerned that there really isn't all that much symbolism included in them like other decks. But I didn't find that to be a hindrance of any sort! I do also really like how it's more elemental based too as someone who works with astrology and magick it's just something I'm aware of when taking into consideration the energies that are associated!

Overall it's definitely a deck I can work with regularly. Would I say it's my favorite? No, probably not! But it'll be one that I'll have on hand and know that I'd be able to rely on! I do think I found my NEW favorite though as I picked up a brand new deck the other day and it has NOT left my side since I got it; I won't tell you what it is yet because I plan on working with it a little more and then posting about it shortly!

It's All About Timing: Time frames in Readings

Well... I have been working on some posts lately, but with coming into my last month of pregnancy with the dr. appointments and all the family  birthdays; things have been pretty delayed... a lot. I even forgot to post the link to my lovescopes at Liveperson! Ohhhh delays, don't we love them! Which brings us to this whole blog post!!!!

Lately it seems that clients have been a little confused as to how timing/time frames work within a reading. So I thought I would take a moment to clear some things up!!

A lot of the time during a reading, the question of "WHEN?" comes up... When will I get my promotion? When will I move? When will s/he call? When will we be together?

One thing that is incredibly important to realize is that absolutely NOTHING is written in stone. Every little step leads to the next and so on and so on.. but whether there's just a pause on the path or a complete deviation, either one will have an effect on the timing of things. When timing is looked into, it is according to what is happening at the time of the reading! That is why a good number of readers won't even touch timing!! There can just be too many variables. So if you are finding a psychic/tarot reader/astrologer who will give you timing know that they are expecting you to understand this and to not feel as though if they say "around the end of the month", that the actual end of the month is some sort of cut off!!! There can still be some give within the timing and wouldn't you feel horrible to be frustrated that the end of the month has come and gone and now it is the 2nd or 3rd day of the new month and the prediction they gave you has now come about and here you were cursing up a storm at how they were wrong and no good?!?

Everyone is going to work differently when it comes to timing or time frames. The way in that my guides show me many of my time frames is through a calendar which becomes illuminated by what can be a specific day (especially with my long standing clients where our energy is connected great!) or a couple days, or maybe even a whole week. It is just the way that we have come to work things out! In the beginning it may have been a number or a month, but after years and years of working with them, we've been able to really come down with a system that seems to be pretty darn accurate! Now granted, that's not to say that I don't get timing wrong! It's gonna happen.. NO ONE is 100%! And it's important to remember that YOU take a proactive approach with things as well... this is YOUR life!

Now you don't want to hold on to the timing so much that the prediction is prevented from actually happening! When you want something so badly, you can actually create a delay or alter it completely!! The same is true if you get a prediction and act AHEAD of the time frame that is given! That of course is DEFINITELY going to end up altering things!! Like let's say Michelle wants to know when her ex John is going to call and a time frame of "in about 2 weeks" comes about. Michelle decides that she's tired of waiting and gives John a call 5 days later... things would completely end up changing since she took matters into her own hands! Or lets say that during this 2 week stretch the whole time Michelle has a feeling of dread and "he's not going to call" plays over and over... this also can alter things as thoughts manifest into the physical and have then created a block to where he DOESN'T end up calling! Another thing to remember is that there will be an entirely other energy that is involved as well.. and they'll have their own thoughts, feelings, actions, reactions and everything else going on in their own life as well. Maybe John suddenly got called out of town for work because something came about from ANOTHER person that had a problem and he's the only one to take care of it! Of course Michelle is going to end up frustrated that things didn't end up coming to pass! But the thing of it is, we can only see so many things within life and it's always ebbing and flowing like the tides!

So, to recap.. timing is not 100%. Actually NO prediction of any sort can be 100%. But is anything in life 100%?! Definitely not... if it were, we'd all have some pretty darn boring lives!!! Believe me.. I sure didn't see this 4th kiddo popping into the picture! Definitely one that came out of left field for me! LOL! But anyways.. when you have a question with timing, just make sure that you understand that there isn't a precise science down with it and things can and will change. But hey, change can be good if you let it be... and isn't a change what you're looking for in the first place when you're asking a question of "When?"! ;)

Weekend Love Forecast

Ohhh drat.. so once again I haven't been able to keep the momentum with getting those Tarotscopes out every week!! I will somewhat blame it on Mercury retrograde coming to an end.. those last 2 weeks always seem to get me! March 19th - 25th Tarotscopes

It's that time again!! Some will call it Spring Break, but here we call it Tourist Takeover! Maybe that's why I have been finding more time to get some writing done! LOL! This is actually a picture from TBO of Clearwater Beach as of Wednesday.
Believe me, us locals know better than to go to the beach at this time... besides, the water is still too cold! ;) I really do love sharing the area with people from all over though! And right now there's probably some more people showing up since Selena Gomez (who got a visit from her BF Justin Bieber) and Vanessa Hudgens have been in the area filming a movie; aptly titled Spring Breakers! I am so thankful we moved back here and will gladly take our tourist "season" over having cold, snow covered grounds of Winter! So with the start of Spring coming in just a few days.. let's see what this week has in store for the signs!

Aries (Mar 21 - April 19)- With the Sun moving into Aries this week you might be getting a little ahead of yourself.. or you might be wasting your time and not really doing what's necessary to get what you want. Just make sure that you don't end up trying to bully or BS your way through things! Take a deeper look at things and see what it is you need to change about yourself. This is totally something that is all on you; you can't place the blame on anyone else at this point! You're ready to embrace the changes on the horizon, but you gotta make sure that you're ready to let go of the old routines and habits too!

Taurus (Apr 20 - May 20)- It could seem like things are at a crossroads and you might not even be close to knowing where you emotionally stand! Looking to others for their opinions may give you some more options to choose from, but it might also further your confusion on the decisions you need to make. You've found yourself in this spot before and realizing that you already have the answer will alleviate your stress much quicker if you just put these changes in motion. As much as you would like to put off making a decision, now isn't the time to be dragging your feet.

Gemini (May 21 - June 21)- You might have everyone's best interests at heart, but they might not be ready to hear the truth. If you're used to taking a more direct approach, you could need to hold up as Mercury is still in a retrograde period and your point just won't be able to come across as clearly as you'd like it to! Have a little patience right now and things will end up being able to turn out positive. Sometimes you have to allow people to make mistakes in order for them to learn the lesson! Besides, you don't need to feel like a know-it-all all of the time!

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)- Progress is being made this week and stability is just around the corner! Take this inspirational energy and put it to good use. Your ideas will bring about some good breakthroughs in ways you didn't think possible. You'll definitely see a difference in yourself and really realize what you're capable of! Your motivation levels are going to be pretty high this week as you continue to push yourself to achieve more! The opportunities that are coming about may have been something you've been working at in the past, but never really put the effort in. NOW is the time to get that recognition, so GO FOR IT!

Leo (July 23 - Aug 22)- This week you might have to try and try again! But because you have the desire and a goal in mind, you'll see it through to the end. You know this is exactly the commitment you need to make to yourself to prove you can do it! You've reclaimed yourself in a sense and have a greater appreciation for just who you really are. You'll need to realize that there's going to mistakes and what you think to be "perfect" might not be what it appears to be. Be consistent in your efforts, be willing to accept criticism and you'll see your perseverance pay off!

Virgo (Aug 23 - Sept 22)- Friendships could be more of a focus this week if you've been able to help someone out through a tough time recently. You'll definitely have feelings of being appreciated more! But if you want this gratitude to stick with you, you'll need to keep with the routine! Now won't be the time to start worry what will be your next conquest. Bigger doesn't always mean better!! Now is the time to review and reorganize things more in life rather than starting anew. As long as you keep going on your current path and don't mix things up you'll be  on to a great victory!

Libra (Sept 23 - Oct 22)- You might need to think about what you're doing and where you're really want things to go this week! Be careful what you wish for because if you aren't, you could get what you want only to realize that it was a horrible mistake! If you think security comes from finances or having someone because you see others as being happy, just remember that appearances are skin deep and there's always more that what is being seen on the outside! Whatever your concern, it will take work and you'll need to really look within to decide what the best course of action will be.

Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 21)- Hard work pays off and slow and steady is the way it has been going! You might be feeling as though you're not accomplishing enough, quick enough by others standards. But take a step back and just breathe! As long as you are feeling like you are doing what needs to be done, don't worry about anyone's opinion! You know what it takes to make YOU happy and you don't need to measure your happiness or success by what you think others expect from you! Know that you are deserving of the success that comes and that it is all possible from the demanding work you are doing!

Sagittarius (Nov 22 - Dec 21)- Since things have been going so well for you, it's time to spread the wealth! Or at least spread some good news or advice! Just be aware that you can't convince everyone to be optimistic like you are. Don't let this get you down as everyone has their own path to take! When working with others you'll see the differences really do help in making sure that all the bases get covered and you'll come to a better understanding that you don't have to take care of everything on your own. While things are going so good, take notice of the more subtle things you might normally overlook for a deeper appreciation!

Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 19)- It may be time to face the facts and stop making excuses for either yourself or for others. You're going to have to really look inside yourself for the truth and be able to trust your decisions. You could come to the conclusion that certain people don't really need to be in your life. Don't let their neediness or drama consume you. It'll also going to be important that you keep your emotions under control so that you don't come across as unpredictable. You have your own problems to focus on! Move forward and allow yourself the happiness that you deserve!

Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 19)- Some how, some way, you are determined to find yourself a way out of this situation! You've been having a time of transformative thinking and may be catching some glimpse of what's to come. And while a compromise may come about, you have faith that you are being guided by a higher power and all things happen for a reason. You are willing to receive what you're given and are grateful for the lessons learned! This could mean you find yourself being able to help someone in a substantial way that could come from a sacrifice made by you. However things turn out, you know it is out of your hands!

Pisces (Feb 20 - Mar 20)- If things seem to good to be true, they probably are! You'll need to be careful you're not trying to convince yourself that something is going to be what you need. It might seem a little frustrating if you feel like you're missing out, but exercise a little caution and patience if you expect to get ahead! You don't want to jump at the first opportunity to change things or you could miss the bigger picture and have to start all over at the beginning again! It'll be important to rely on yourself and not immediately trust what someone else is telling you. They might not have your best interests in mind!

March 12th - 18th Tarotscopes

Sooner or later I may be able to get back to updating my blog more regularly!! Of course I won't look to put the blame anywhere else.. I'm sure if I made the time it would happen. LOL! But with an 8 month old running around now, he's definitely got a lot of my attention!! I do find it amusing that Mercury retrograde seems to put things in motion for me to actually get a blog post done.. or at least maybe started, since I have a few that still need editing and posted! But they're there just waiting to make their debut! So within these next couple of weeks during the retro period, which just started today and will last until April 4th, hopefully I'll get some more posts knocked out! Here's to hoping anyways!!

Like I said, this is the retrograde period for Mercury which also happens to be in Aries.. so it'll definitely be a time to rethink the direction of where things are going. I found it interesting that I finally get around to posting and it will be the last before the Spring Equinox comes about on the 20th when the Sun moves into Aries and gives us more energy to start fresh in a lot of ways! It really gave me the indication that this post was needed! So without any more delays, let's see what's in store for everyone this week!!

Aries (Mar 21 - April 19)- Obstacles could have you feeling like all your efforts are leading you to a dead end. This may also leave you feeling confused or maybe even angry! If you force things aggressively it will only cause more affliction. Alternatively, you might just have a feeling like you don't need to put in any effort to get ahead this week. No matter what sort of motivation you try to manage, it just keeps falling short of getting you need. Have faith that you don't always need to push yourself to the limit! The status and recognition you're looking for will come about with a sense of clarity... once you stop looking for it!

Taurus (Apr 20 - May 20)- This week will be very hopeful and encouraging as you rethink about where you are wanting to take things in your life. You're totally driven at this point and some people might see you as being a little bit of a workaholic right now. You just want to get ahead and know that if you want it, you need to go for it! If anyone is trying to sway you from your path, you'll need to deal with it. You know you're moving forward in a positive direction!

Gemini (May 21 - June 21)- If ever a time to have some hope were needed, this week is it!! Every avenue just seems to keep leading to a dead end! But you can't let this feeling consume you and you need to realize that it's shared by everyone at some time sooner or later! Keeping faith that you are doing what you can and limiting self doubt, is going to be essential this week. Try not to be resentful if people around you are having a different experience in life. It is a cycle that never ends. Find your passion and faith and remind yourself that "this to shall pass".

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)- The efforts you have been putting into your passion is now starting to come back to you! This is REAL progress! Now definitely is not the time to just sit back and see what happens, you need to continue pressing on.

Happy Chinese New Year!!

恭贺新禧!! Happy Chinese New Year!! Welcome to the year of the Water Dragon! And I am SUPER excited to have found some time to write a new blog post! I know, finally, right!? For those of you that follow me on my Twitter or Facebook you’d know I’ve been a little busy with my now 7 month old! I’m not trying to make excuses, but hey, life happens!!! Anyways, let’s stop discussing this boring stuff and get to the goodies!!

In Chinese astrology, the Dragon symbolizes luck, success, and happiness. Dragons are said to be innovative, self-assured, passionate, and free-spirited individuals. But they can also be unpredictable, selfish and quick-tempered! Since this is a Water year, it has a calming effect to the Dragon’s temperament and can make them more perceptive to the needs of others. Decisions in situations can be more carefully evaluated before rushing head first into new projects, giving more patience and success in the endeavors!

Here’s my take on what you can expect in the upcoming year for your Chinese horoscope. However, since the Chinese New Year doesn’t occur on the same date each year, it’s important to check if your Chinese sign is correct for the year listed! Rat (born 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008)
This should be one of the best years you’ve had in a while! However you’ll need to make sure you put in the effort AND make sure the risks you take are worth it, if should you leap before you look! You will have great luck in matters of career and will be able to secure finances! Be careful in keeping your ego in check so as not to create any office drama! If ever a time were to pursue your dreams, this is the time to make them all come true! Relationships may be risky if you put in the effort without getting the same in return.

Ox (born 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009)
The Dragon can bring about change and you may need to remain flexible if you want things to end up favorable. Even when things may seem difficult, there will be necessary learning experiences to be had! Career will require more focus in order to get ahead. Try not to make any major decisions and take things step by step. Relationships may be a little harder to manage since priorities look to be elsewhere. Communication will be crucial to work through your problems. You may find yourself relying on others a little too much and will need to stick more with what you know rather than trying to change yourself.

Tiger (born 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010)
While you rule the Western sky and the Dragon rules the East, don’t take that to mean you won’t be able to work together! Quite the opposite!! The Water element is also your most favorable so you’ll have more than enough luck and opportunities this coming year! Career choices may bring about some wild ideas so don’t get too carried away if you’re really wanting something long standing to work out. Passion will increase in your romance, but that doesn’t necessarily make for a stable relationship. You’ll need to talk things out to make sure you’re both on the same page if you want things to be lasting!

Rabbit (born 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011)
Things might be a little more challenging this year than they were last. But that is simply because the pace of the Dragon is a little quicker! The change you’ve been hoping for can finally end up becoming withstanding! Career and finances may need to be a priority before expenses become too much of a burden. It’s time to buckle down and make things happen for yourself before relying on anyone else. Relationships may become problematic if stress from work is bringing you down. Be patient and allow things to work out naturally. There are some things you won’t be able to compromise with.

Being the “work horse”, you’ll enjoy being put to the test to keep the momentum going! Romance can be frustrating and may be feeling as though it is taking time away from your career endeavors. Finding a balance between work and pleasure will be crucial in your relationships! A renewed passion will bring you much closer to others if you give yourself the chance to enjoy it!

Sheep (born 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003)
While things may become more hectic, it doesn’t mean you need to follow the flock! This is the time to maintain what you’ve been able to achieve and try not to mix things up too much. Your career and finances will remain stable and you’ll be able to build things up substantially IF you don’t feel the extra money burning a hole in your pocket! Your impulses will be strong this year and within relationships this may end up bringing disagreements if you can’t control your emotions. Be careful with whom you decide to trust or you could find yourself being taken advantage of.

You can expect to make this one of your greatest years! But at the same time you’ll need to make sure you don’t get too ahead of yourself or you might miss out on crucial details that might cause problems later on! Anticipate many new opportunities being available to you, just make sure you don’t hop from one to the other and concentrate on what you really want to achieve and you’ll be successful! Don’t be surprised if something or someone from the past is brought to your attention. Relationships will bring about a greater understanding and appreciation on what you bring to those you’re involved with.

Rooster (born 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005)
Last year wasn’t your best, but you’re ready to accept the work that is needed to make this one better! Creativity awakens within and your career will be prosperous as you take this energy and harness it into the ability to make things different for yourself! This may also be the time to focus on getting some new training that will make you more desirable within your field. Your relationships and love life will also get some much needed assistance and even when drama comes about you’ll be able to work through things so that those around you can see you’re putting the effort in that you haven’t in the past!

Don’t anticipate this being one of your favorite years! Dragons and Dogs don’t get along much, so there’ll definitely be some challenges! While your career and finances may need some work, you will have some that are hopeful for your downfall. That’s not to say everyone is out to get you, several will remain helpful to you but they’ll only be able to do so much. You could find yourself working too hard to prove your worth! Commitments may also not be your strong suit this year in relationships, no matter how loyal you’d like to be. Your bark will prove more fatal than your bite so choose your words wisely!

Pig (born 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007)
Things may seem like they’re moving fast paced and you could feel as though any moment there will be a disaster just waiting to happen. But that’s not the case! It’s all about going with the flow this year! Even though things may be a little demanding in your career, you’ll be able to be successful in managing any stress that is created from the workflow! As a result from your hard work a promotion and increase in your finances is likely as well! Relationships may be on the backburner at times, but you’ll want to focus more on deeper emotions rather than what is physically available to you.
