30 Days To Change

When I first had the idea for this post it was mostly based off of my post 30 Days To Finding Love. That and I've been watching the show 30 Days on Netflix! And then today while I was outside I had a volunteer come up to the house to see if I wanted to receive my ballot in the mail, which I already have sent in my info to receive it! So, on that note... PLEASE VOTE! If you need to register to vote, it needs done ASAP as most states require you to register 30 days before the election. Current election countdown: 37 days!! I gotta be honest.. I've been able to vote for the last 4 elections, but when you're young it's not really something you think is all that important and the last election was the first I took part in... and let me say, it was TRULY empowering! So get out there and vote because your opinion matters! And it doesn't matter if our opinions are different, everyone is entitled to make their own decisions. Which is what is really being shown on the show 30 Days! Brief summary; take one person who has an opinion and see if they can live with their opposition for 30 days. It really is VERY eye opening with some of the situations people are put in. Especially the episode where a man had lost his job being outsourced to India. If you can catch the series, definitely give it a look!

Now obviously this post isn't going to be like my other one, but hey that's OK! Today's the Full Moon and lemme tell you, it seems like EVERYONE is really being affected by it's transforming energy! I know I am and I can't wait to see what it brings about! And really it doesn't take 30 days to make a change... changes come about by consciously making a choice moment by moment! But within 30 days, or a moon cycle if you want to look at it that way, you really can bring about a more cohesive routine into your life! Routines and schedules are great! Everything in nature is routine. Heck, not to bring up 30 Days again, but the episode where he lived on the Native American reservation he was expected to wake up every morning for a run to greet the Sun! And in some ways there are routines that we have come to live with that we might not always enjoy; e.g. WORK! Lots of people are dissatisfied in their J.O.B.s (Just Over Broke). But there are those routines that we are able to create for ourselves that can bring about the change that we want for ourselves whether it be a better income, relationship, physique, or even state of mind!

So for 30 days, starting on October 1st.. let's all keep a journal (mine'll just be a notebook or maybe I'll post some to facebook too!) and every day until October 31st when with Samhain or Halloween and the Turn of the Wheel, see what we can manifest for ourselves! Write down at least one goal - go ahead and elaborate your ideas on how you would achieve this if you want. Be able to really solidify your plan within your mind and see yourself achieving success! Also write down at least one thing you are grateful for! It's important to reflect on the good things that are there in life and it makes it much more appreciative when success comes about.. and keeps you a little grounded! Doreen Virtue's Angel Tarot Cards Review

So things have been a little hectic; shoot when AREN'T they when you've got 2 kids under the age of 2?! LOL! My last post was actually 10 days before I had my daughter! But now that all the Summer fun and excitement is slowing down into the nice rhythm that Fall brings, I'm hoping to be able to put some more time back into the blog! I have been working on some things and trying out some new techniques, which is great because sometimes it's nice to get out and do things a little different! So I plan on letting y'all know on my findings. Which brings me to this post!

The last few months I've been working with Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine's Angel Tarot Cards. For those of you who might not know of Doreen's work, rather than me gush over how much I LOVE The Lightworker's Way or her Angel Therapy Oracle Cards, you can learn more about her at her website http://www.angeltherapy.com.

So before doing anything with the cards, even looking at them... I'll clear the deck of unwanted energy. Who knows how long they might have been in a box absorbing any energy around!?! I'll hold it in my left hand (receiving hand) and tap it once lightly with the knuckles of my right hand (sending hand). This is mentioned within the book with the cards, but I have been doing it that way for years. Then I charge the deck with Reiki, bless it with some sage, and ask for the deck to guide me with true knowledge and intent.

The artwork by Steve A. Roberts is absolutely STUNNING! It's one of the reasons I had to have the deck! But I have to be honest. I didn't immediately click with them when I started off. Maybe it is because of the hype I'd heard of them being "safe" and I was expecting it to be a little different. I actually had put off buying the deck because of that reason! So I'll say this; I don't think you can really have a "safe" deck. That's kinda like saying you have a "safe" relationship. What kind of depth would be there then?? I guess a better way to explain it is that the information is just given in a gentler way! Take for instance the description on the 5 of Water (cups); it says, "Things not turning out the way you'd hoped. Not seeing the positive in a situation. Crying over spilled milk." Rather than an in your face approach, it's more like a good friend that doesn't want to come right out and say you're being a complete idiot about something and you just need to use your head a little more! LOL!

There's some things that I don't think would entirely be that good for someone that doesn't have a competent  knowledge of the Tarot even though there are interpretations on the cards. For one, some of the standard card names have been altered. The Fool has been renamed "The Dreamer", the Hierophant is called "Unity", Hanged Man is renamed "Awakening", Death is "Release", Temperance becomes "Balance", the Devil is "Ego", the Tower is "Life Experience" and Judgment is "Renewal". I don't see any problems in these changes. They really do fit rather well within the readings I've been using the cards for and they give some VERY accurate information! Also in this deck the Justice card is card eight and Strength is card eleven, which IS the traditional placement; however most decks these days have them reversed. So this could throw you off if it isn't something you've encountered before. Here is what is comprised of the Major Arcana and the angels that have been assigned to the cards...

Now, I gotta say there's a couple things that I don't like about the deck... hey, this is a review after all! For one, it's HUGE! They're about an inch wider and half an inch taller than most standard decks. It doesn't make shuffling easy, that's for sure! Or maybe I just have small hands? LOL! The other major thing I don't like is the back. Since I use reversals in my readings, I don't like being able to tell which is upright and what is reversed from the back of a card. It's rather apparent when you have an upside down angel looking at you! But really those are the only two things I can say that I don't like!

They are exceptionally well made though and the card stock seems a little thicker than some other flimsy decks. The care and research that went into the deck creation is more than apparent! Of course the imagery is what is most important to me and the emotions evoked from them. Which is why I was wanting to purchase the deck in the first place! I put a few up of some of my faves and you can see a good sampling of cards by doing a quick search on Google or go over to Aeclectic Tarot! It does NOT do them justice though as they are vibrant and glossy! Some may be concerned that there really isn't all that much symbolism included in them like other decks. But I didn't find that to be a hindrance of any sort! I do also really like how it's more elemental based too as someone who works with astrology and magick it's just something I'm aware of when taking into consideration the energies that are associated!

Overall it's definitely a deck I can work with regularly. Would I say it's my favorite? No, probably not! But it'll be one that I'll have on hand and know that I'd be able to rely on! I do think I found my NEW favorite though as I picked up a brand new deck the other day and it has NOT left my side since I got it; I won't tell you what it is yet because I plan on working with it a little more and then posting about it shortly!

It's All About Timing: Time frames in Readings

Well... I have been working on some posts lately, but with coming into my last month of pregnancy with the dr. appointments and all the family  birthdays; things have been pretty delayed... a lot. I even forgot to post the link to my lovescopes at Liveperson! Ohhhh delays, don't we love them! Which brings us to this whole blog post!!!!

Lately it seems that clients have been a little confused as to how timing/time frames work within a reading. So I thought I would take a moment to clear some things up!!

A lot of the time during a reading, the question of "WHEN?" comes up... When will I get my promotion? When will I move? When will s/he call? When will we be together?

One thing that is incredibly important to realize is that absolutely NOTHING is written in stone. Every little step leads to the next and so on and so on.. but whether there's just a pause on the path or a complete deviation, either one will have an effect on the timing of things. When timing is looked into, it is according to what is happening at the time of the reading! That is why a good number of readers won't even touch timing!! There can just be too many variables. So if you are finding a psychic/tarot reader/astrologer who will give you timing know that they are expecting you to understand this and to not feel as though if they say "around the end of the month", that the actual end of the month is some sort of cut off!!! There can still be some give within the timing and wouldn't you feel horrible to be frustrated that the end of the month has come and gone and now it is the 2nd or 3rd day of the new month and the prediction they gave you has now come about and here you were cursing up a storm at how they were wrong and no good?!?

Everyone is going to work differently when it comes to timing or time frames. The way in that my guides show me many of my time frames is through a calendar which becomes illuminated by what can be a specific day (especially with my long standing clients where our energy is connected great!) or a couple days, or maybe even a whole week. It is just the way that we have come to work things out! In the beginning it may have been a number or a month, but after years and years of working with them, we've been able to really come down with a system that seems to be pretty darn accurate! Now granted, that's not to say that I don't get timing wrong! It's gonna happen.. NO ONE is 100%! And it's important to remember that YOU take a proactive approach with things as well... this is YOUR life!

Now you don't want to hold on to the timing so much that the prediction is prevented from actually happening! When you want something so badly, you can actually create a delay or alter it completely!! The same is true if you get a prediction and act AHEAD of the time frame that is given! That of course is DEFINITELY going to end up altering things!! Like let's say Michelle wants to know when her ex John is going to call and a time frame of "in about 2 weeks" comes about. Michelle decides that she's tired of waiting and gives John a call 5 days later... things would completely end up changing since she took matters into her own hands! Or lets say that during this 2 week stretch the whole time Michelle has a feeling of dread and "he's not going to call" plays over and over... this also can alter things as thoughts manifest into the physical and have then created a block to where he DOESN'T end up calling! Another thing to remember is that there will be an entirely other energy that is involved as well.. and they'll have their own thoughts, feelings, actions, reactions and everything else going on in their own life as well. Maybe John suddenly got called out of town for work because something came about from ANOTHER person that had a problem and he's the only one to take care of it! Of course Michelle is going to end up frustrated that things didn't end up coming to pass! But the thing of it is, we can only see so many things within life and it's always ebbing and flowing like the tides!

So, to recap.. timing is not 100%. Actually NO prediction of any sort can be 100%. But is anything in life 100%?! Definitely not... if it were, we'd all have some pretty darn boring lives!!! Believe me.. I sure didn't see this 4th kiddo popping into the picture! Definitely one that came out of left field for me! LOL! But anyways.. when you have a question with timing, just make sure that you understand that there isn't a precise science down with it and things can and will change. But hey, change can be good if you let it be... and isn't a change what you're looking for in the first place when you're asking a question of "When?"! ;)

Weekend Love Forecast

Ohhh drat.. so once again I haven't been able to keep the momentum with getting those Tarotscopes out every week!! I will somewhat blame it on Mercury retrograde coming to an end.. those last 2 weeks always seem to get me! One of these days I WILL be able to get a routine down with my blog, but for now with all the chaos that is life.. it'll happen as it happens! March 19th - 25th Tarotscopes

It's that time again!! Some will call it Spring Break, but here we call it Tourist Takeover! Maybe that's why I have been finding more time to get some writing done! LOL! This is actually a picture from TBO of Clearwater Beach as of Wednesday.
Believe me, us locals know better than to go to the beach at this time... besides, the water is still too cold! ;) I really do love sharing the area with people from all over though! And right now there's probably some more people showing up since Selena Gomez (who got a visit from her BF Justin Bieber) and Vanessa Hudgens have been in the area filming a movie; aptly titled Spring Breakers! I am so thankful we moved back here and will gladly take our tourist "season" over having cold, snow covered grounds of Winter! So with the start of Spring coming in just a few days.. let's see what this week has in store for the signs!

Aries (Mar 21 - April 19)- With the Sun moving into Aries this week you might be getting a little ahead of yourself.. or you might be wasting your time and not really doing what's necessary to get what you want. Just make sure that you don't end up trying to bully or BS your way through things! Take a deeper look at things and see what it is you need to change about yourself. This is totally something that is all on you; you can't place the blame on anyone else at this point! You're ready to embrace the changes on the horizon, but you gotta make sure that you're ready to let go of the old routines and habits too!

Taurus (Apr 20 - May 20)- It could seem like things are at a crossroads and you might not even be close to knowing where you emotionally stand! Looking to others for their opinions may give you some more options to choose from, but it might also further your confusion on the decisions you need to make. You've found yourself in this spot before and realizing that you already have the answer will alleviate your stress much quicker if you just put these changes in motion. As much as you would like to put off making a decision, now isn't the time to be dragging your feet.

Gemini (May 21 - June 21)- You might have everyone's best interests at heart, but they might not be ready to hear the truth. If you're used to taking a more direct approach, you could need to hold up as Mercury is still in a retrograde period and your point just won't be able to come across as clearly as you'd like it to! Have a little patience right now and things will end up being able to turn out positive. Sometimes you have to allow people to make mistakes in order for them to learn the lesson! Besides, you don't need to feel like a know-it-all all of the time!

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)- Progress is being made this week and stability is just around the corner! Take this inspirational energy and put it to good use. Your ideas will bring about some good breakthroughs in ways you didn't think possible. You'll definitely see a difference in yourself and really realize what you're capable of! Your motivation levels are going to be pretty high this week as you continue to push yourself to achieve more! The opportunities that are coming about may have been something you've been working at in the past, but never really put the effort in. NOW is the time to get that recognition, so GO FOR IT!

Leo (July 23 - Aug 22)- This week you might have to try and try again! But because you have the desire and a goal in mind, you'll see it through to the end. You know this is exactly the commitment you need to make to yourself to prove you can do it! You've reclaimed yourself in a sense and have a greater appreciation for just who you really are. You'll need to realize that there's going to mistakes and what you think to be "perfect" might not be what it appears to be. Be consistent in your efforts, be willing to accept criticism and you'll see your perseverance pay off!

Virgo (Aug 23 - Sept 22)- Friendships could be more of a focus this week if you've been able to help someone out through a tough time recently. You'll definitely have feelings of being appreciated more! But if you want this gratitude to stick with you, you'll need to keep with the routine! Now won't be the time to start worry what will be your next conquest. Bigger doesn't always mean better!! Now is the time to review and reorganize things more in life rather than starting anew. As long as you keep going on your current path and don't mix things up you'll be  on to a great victory!

Libra (Sept 23 - Oct 22)- You might need to think about what you're doing and where you're really want things to go this week! Be careful what you wish for because if you aren't, you could get what you want only to realize that it was a horrible mistake! If you think security comes from finances or having someone because you see others as being happy, just remember that appearances are skin deep and there's always more that what is being seen on the outside! Whatever your concern, it will take work and you'll need to really look within to decide what the best course of action will be.

Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 21)- Hard work pays off and slow and steady is the way it has been going! You might be feeling as though you're not accomplishing enough, quick enough by others standards. But take a step back and just breathe! As long as you are feeling like you are doing what needs to be done, don't worry about anyone's opinion! You know what it takes to make YOU happy and you don't need to measure your happiness or success by what you think others expect from you! Know that you are deserving of the success that comes and that it is all possible from the demanding work you are doing!

Sagittarius (Nov 22 - Dec 21)- Since things have been going so well for you, it's time to spread the wealth! Or at least spread some good news or advice! Just be aware that you can't convince everyone to be optimistic like you are. Don't let this get you down as everyone has their own path to take! When working with others you'll see the differences really do help in making sure that all the bases get covered and you'll come to a better understanding that you don't have to take care of everything on your own. While things are going so good, take notice of the more subtle things you might normally overlook for a deeper appreciation!

Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 19)- It may be time to face the facts and stop making excuses for either yourself or for others. You're going to have to really look inside yourself for the truth and be able to trust your decisions. You could come to the conclusion that certain people don't really need to be in your life. Don't let their neediness or drama consume you. It'll also going to be important that you keep your emotions under control so that you don't come across as unpredictable. You have your own problems to focus on! Move forward and allow yourself the happiness that you deserve!

Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 19)- Some how, some way, you are determined to find yourself a way out of this situation! You've been having a time of transformative thinking and may be catching some glimpse of what's to come. And while a compromise may come about, you have faith that you are being guided by a higher power and all things happen for a reason. You are willing to receive what you're given and are grateful for the lessons learned! This could mean you find yourself being able to help someone in a substantial way that could come from a sacrifice made by you. However things turn out, you know it is out of your hands!

Pisces (Feb 20 - Mar 20)- If things seem to good to be true, they probably are! You'll need to be careful you're not trying to convince yourself that something is going to be what you need. It might seem a little frustrating if you feel like you're missing out, but exercise a little caution and patience if you expect to get ahead! You don't want to jump at the first opportunity to change things or you could miss the bigger picture and have to start all over at the beginning again! It'll be important to rely on yourself and not immediately trust what someone else is telling you. They might not have your best interests in mind!

March 12th - 18th Tarotscopes

Sooner or later I may be able to get back to updating my blog more regularly!! Of course I won't look to put the blame anywhere else.. I'm sure if I made the time it would happen. LOL! But with an 8 month old running around now, he's definitely got a lot of my attention!! I do find it amusing that Mercury retrograde seems to put things in motion for me to actually get a blog post done.. or at least maybe started, since I have a few that still need editing and posted! But they're there just waiting to make their debut! So within these next couple of weeks during the retro period, which just started today and will last until April 4th, hopefully I'll get some more posts knocked out! Here's to hoping anyways!!

Like I said, this is the retrograde period for Mercury which also happens to be in Aries.. so it'll definitely be a time to rethink the direction of where things are going. I found it interesting that I finally get around to posting and it will be the last before the Spring Equinox comes about on the 20th when the Sun moves into Aries and gives us more energy to start fresh in a lot of ways! It really gave me the indication that this post was needed! So without any more delays, let's see what's in store for everyone this week!!

Aries (Mar 21 - April 19)- Obstacles could have you feeling like all your efforts are leading you to a dead end. This may also leave you feeling confused or maybe even angry! If you force things aggressively it will only cause more affliction. Alternatively, you might just have a feeling like you don't need to put in any effort to get ahead this week. No matter what sort of motivation you try to manage, it just keeps falling short of getting you need. Have faith that you don't always need to push yourself to the limit! The status and recognition you're looking for will come about with a sense of clarity... once you stop looking for it!

Taurus (Apr 20 - May 20)- This week will be very hopeful and encouraging as you rethink about where you are wanting to take things in your life. You know you can do anything that you set your mind to and have been taking more control of things lately. You're totally driven at this point and some people might see you as being a little bit of a workaholic right now. You just want to get ahead and know that if you want it, you need to go for it! If anyone is trying to sway you from your path, you'll need to deal with it. You know you're moving forward in a positive direction!

Gemini (May 21 - June 21)- If ever a time to have some hope were needed, this week is it!! Every avenue just seems to keep leading to a dead end! But you can't let this feeling consume you and you need to realize that it's shared by everyone at some time sooner or later! Keeping faith that you are doing what you can and limiting self doubt, is going to be essential this week. Try not to be resentful if people around you are having a different experience in life. It is a cycle that never ends. Find your passion and faith and remind yourself that "this to shall pass".

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)- The efforts you have been putting into your passion is now starting to come back to you! This is REAL progress! Now definitely is not the time to just sit back and see what happens, you need to continue pressing on.
Just be careful you don't get too ahead of yourself, there's still work to be done before you can fully celebrate! You may need to go back over your plans to make an informed decision on where your path will go next to keep the progress going. Remember that you can't always do things on your own, so now is the time to see who will be with you every step of the way!

Leo (July 23 - Aug 22)- Situations still might have you having to compromise in some way, but if you can dig deep and really let others know how you feel, you could find yourself making the decision without any fear or doubt. This week will bring about an emotional balance for you though! You will realize that success may come in small doses, but at least it's happening! Allow those that are supportive of you to lend a hand along the way. Try not to be upset if you aren't making the strides you'd like.. there will always be obstacles to overcome and decisions to be made.

Virgo (Aug 23 - Sept 22)- Sometimes you just need to follow the rules! Even if you don't want to!! It's good to be a rebel now and then or we wouldn't the revolutions that are needed to shake things up. But at the same time it would be best to make sure your actions are really matching up to your beliefs!! You know how to communicate your ideals effectively, but you could find right now that you're only talking the talk and not walking the walk! Take this time to think about what you're really trying to accomplish and stick to the high ground. Being true to yourself will bring about the happiness you seek!

Libra (Sept 23 - Oct 22)- Pleasure and abundance abounds this week! Even when things haven't been the easiest, you get back up and go again! You'll find more creativity in your friendships and relationships and will see that the more that you give, the more you get from them! This card is one of material or physical gain, though it might come about in a way you hadn't expected. Make sure that you don't take things for granted and are truly grateful for the experiences that you will have! If you can manage throwing a party this coming weekend you'll find yourself with the best get together in a while and creating some long lasting memories for yourself and others!

Scorpio (Oct 23 - Nov 21)- Unfinished business you though wouldn't be a big deal, suddenly is! You should've seen things coming, but this is like doing the same thing and expecting a different result! You can take this time to make what's wrong right and get things back on track. Now isn't the time to give up. Have faith in yourself and don't give in to negative thinking. Things may look grim, but keep hope in that you'll be able to do what is necessary. It might not be the easiest to deal with but in order to have a flourishing garden, you have to have some rainy days!

Sagittarius (Nov 22 - Dec 21)- You might need to really think about how you go about your approach to things this week! You can't expect things to just work out on their own and you need to start relying more on yourself! If you want things to change, you're going to need to put the effort in to make it happen! Work situations might take another turn and could leave you a little stressed that you went about things in the wrong way or that you need to take a whole other approach to get where you want to be. Now is the time to really start thinking about what it is you're after in life. Otherwise, it's going to keep passing on by!

Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 19)- If you feel you're being a little indecisive as to where life is taking you, now is NOT the time to hold yourself back from the changes that are coming. Embrace a fresh perspective! It's time to take a look at the bigger picture and see that you can't always make excuses; whether they're for others or yourself. Ultimately you are the one left to make the decision with what you want and need to take responsibility for the choices you make! It's a good time to free yourself from someones influence and have more faith in yourself to make the right decision.

Aquarius (Jan 20 - Feb 19)- Be careful that you're not only thinking about yourself this week or it could come back to bite you! One moment you might feel optimistic and excited at the way things are going and the next minute you'll be aggravated all to hell! This week it'll be like adding extra fuel to an already huge bonfire!! Usually you are generous with others, but you might need to step back a little before you crash and burn with your relationships or you could end up coming across as rude and overbearing. You need to be clear in your thoughts and approaching things with pure intentions.

Pisces (Feb 20 - Mar 20)- It might seem that you're being forced to deal with someone or something you'd rather not. Maybe it's time to let go of any bitterness you're feeling or just realize that it's not as important to harbor those feelings of resentment for one moment longer. Let the past stay in the past and know that what you are creating now far outweighs anything that may have kept you from happiness before. You might also need to learn that giving is just as important as receiving. Finding balance between struggle and joy brings you to a more selfless place within yourself.
