Happy New Years!!!

2014
Here we are at New Years Eve! Can you believe another year has passed on by?!? And according to the Unstuck App lately, I've been an "Idle Achiever". But thankfully I bit the bullet and got some help and hopefully this site/blog updating is going to happen sooner than later now! So if things look a little wonky over the next couple days.. that's what's up!

The last couple months sorta tanked! I know I'm not the only one that's been riding this roller coaster. And I've been more than grateful for the experiences, opportunities, goals I've met, failures from attempts this last year has brought me, as well as for the new ideas that keep pushing me further! I'll definitely be harnessing up this fabulous Capricorn New Moon energy that is in my 6th house of routines tomorrow! And with the year of the horse coming about at the end of January, did I happen to mention I'm a horse?; and this next year also being a "9" for me, I'm really expecting FANTABULOUS things this upcoming year!

I'll be straight.. have I made some excuses?! Probably so.. ok, let's be real; I have. But I also really had worked my fanny off too for a while and well, mama was tired! Everyone and anyone can face a burnout and I'm no exception! I really took the time though to plug back in to some things though too and did some more exploration with some readings and other processes, so I'm definitely excited to start sharing all of that fun stuff!!

At least I'm more confident now on where my attention needs focused... and maybe I can stop trying to be too much of a perfectionist! And also a procrastinator.. but we'll see on that one! LOL!

I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe New Years!!!

I can NOT wait!

Much love and MANY BLESSINGS!

Full Moon in Pisces ~ Harvest Moon

Photo: Huffington Post
The Pisces Full Moon came about early this morning and the energy sure seems to be a ZINGER! Reality seems to be setting in, but it's a good thing too. Let's not forget Pluto the planet of endings is going direct tomorrow! Saturn makes a sextile to Pluto on Saturday and we'll be feeling a little resistance or hesitation in our changes. And with the Autumn Equinox coming about on Sunday with the Sun moving into Libra -- it's ALL about balance! If you're in the Southern Hemisphere then you're having the Spring Equinox, and new beginnings coming to you! Actually, there's new beginnings either way... I had the thought earlier that "everything is temporary", and then I though HOLY CRAP that is just what this Full Moon is telling me!

I hadn't been as chatty in the last few days.. the week didn't start the easiest, and by this time it's almost a blur! Let me just say; department of motor vehicles! My husband and son are going out of town for a few days. My daughter's take home EEG now looks like it will end up being a hospital stay. And then my chihuahua who hasn't had a seizure in years suddenly decides he's going to have one. It had me feeling a little stressed and down and out. Like everything was just piling up. Then today it hit me like a ton of bricks...

#quotes #inspiration

Yep, I'd fallen into the trap of feeling like life was just soooo complicated! Ummm... did I forget we just bought a house in June? That was some stress! LOL! And even when our daughter had been diagnosed with LKS years ago; THAT was extremely stressful! And then just like that, with realizing I was further than where I was and everything is temporary; things turned around! The stress I was carrying melted away, I dusted my hands off and realized that the path keeps on going.

Throughout the Moon's cycles, there is a death and rebirth happening. During this Full Moon we are heightened with the Pisces/Virgo energy. Being in Pisces we might be putting too much focus on our burdens. We may be feeling like we are needing to sacrifice something to get to our happiness. We need to remember the compassion and fluidity of Pisces! The Virgo energy of the Sun, is pushing for the final distance, to have us do more before it moves into harmonizing Libra. It's best to take this time to let go of feeling like we are inadequate in some way. Put your attentions on being grateful for how far you've come from last year. If things are seeming like they aren't quite as good as they were last year, remember -- it's temporary! You may be at a high or a low, or maybe even a steady plateau, but like always, things will end and begin and you'll be able to put the experiences into perspective.

So take this time to slow down a little! Grab yourself a nice cup of tea, coffee, or maybe a glass of wine and take a moment to reflect on what you've been able to accomplish. Be proud of what you've done!! Let go of the things that aren't helping you meet your goals. Even if that means you gotta step out of your own way! And allow yourself to know that you do have the ability to move yourself even further than where you've previously been. DREAM BIG! You may be surprised at what you'll be able to create! Be grateful for where you are at in this moment, where you've been, and think about what you wish to manifest for your future!

I hope this Full Moon brings you closer to your dreams and more creativity and confidence! If you would like me take a look at what you can expect over the next moon cycle, take a look at my services page or send me a message at my email or facebook and I'd be happy to assist you!

Have a fabulous day!

Celebrate Lammas - Harvest Your Abundance!

Happy Lammas!! Or Lughnasadh if that's what you like to celebrate! While usually I like to include a little bit of history on what the holidays mean, I'm just going to point you to my first post Celebrate Lammas ~ Count Your Blessings! where you can find out some more information (and goodies!) about it and give you a little cliff note version here. Lammas is the first of the three harvest celebrations; the other two being Mabon and Samhain. It is a cross-quarter holiday, halfway between the Summer Solstice (Litha) and the Autumnal Equinox (Mabon). On the Wheel of the Year, it is opposite Imbolc. While there's still plenty of time left in the growing season, this is a good time to make a blessing for further abundance to come into your life and to be grateful for what's already been achieved! This summer seemed to be a scorcher for a good part of the US.. I didn't notice it too much being in FL, but many of my friends in OH said it was either too hot or too rainy and they didn't get to enjoy the summer very much. But the cooler temps with bonfire get together's and the anticipation of getting the kiddos back into the routine of school is being welcomed! But since it's the cooler season now there is some GREAT gardening that can be done! So check out Vegetables and Herbs to Plant in August or I'm sure you can check the month of September too if you need some time to prepare, and also your USDA Hardiness Zone so you can better plan what you can plant as well! It's so wonderful when you're able to harvest your own food and you can feel a sense of accomplishment that comes from nurturing a plant while mother nature does her thing!

Now.. I'm sure you're wondering what's with the picture I used too! Maybe you saw it posted on my instagram or twitter account! It's the goody I'm including for this post! This is my Lammas Harvest Tarot Spread! And here's how it works... The layout itself is a basket! There are 6 cards to symbolize balance, service, home and domesticness, and responsibility. The number 6 in numerology also has ties to agriculture.. see how it all ties in!? Here is what each card represents...

Card #1 - Where I am at.. I received the Queen of Pentacles! I took this as a good sign that I'm making the right choices in my business decisions.

Card #2 - Where I need to have more focus.. I got The Shadow Side since I am using the Witches Tarot, but most know it as The Devil. I'll take that as a sign that I need to make sure that I don't lose sight of what's in front of me and get too wrapped up in my work!

Card #3 - Where will I find my strength.. With the Six of Pentacles I'm taking that to give as much as I receive!

Card #4 - The help I will receive unexpectedly.. Oh the Fool.. you just never know the potential that is there until you try something different!

Card #5 - What comes next.. The Emperor blesses me with a solid foundation from the experiences I've learned from!

Card #6 - The bountiful fruits of labor.. Celebration in my creativity and lasting friendships from sharing and caring! Fabulous success!!

Guess what.. I also have the printable available too!! So if you'd like to add it to your journal, here is the doc and pdf files you can download! Take some time to count your blessings and to think about what more you would like to accomplish before settling into the Winter slumber!

As always, if you'd like me to take a look at things for you with a reading I'd be more than happy to! Just send me a message at my email or facebook! Also.. if you missed my tweet earlier; I am currently offering a special of an hour worth of chat reading for $100!! This can be spread over multiple sessions!! I hope you're enjoying your week so far!! Only a couple more days til the weekend! Woo hoo!!!

Many Blessings!

Celebrate Beltane ~ Time to Revitalize!

Beltane Fire Dancers
If you saw my last post about Beltane, you'll know it's one of my favorite holidays!! And you might be thinking, "Wait a sec, wasn't Beltane on May 1st?". Actually, no. While that is May Day, Beltane technically doesn't happen until the Sun reaches 15 degrees Taurus which happens on May 5th.. and is also Cinco De Mayo! Talk about a good day to party!!!! And that's one of the main things with Beltane, it really is a time to come together for some fun! If you do a google search and look at the images, you'll definitely see some fun happening; though if you are offended with nudity, you might want to make sure you have a safe search in place!!!

Beltane is opposite of Samhain (Halloween) so while we in the Northern Hemisphere are reveling in the coming summer months, those in the Southern Hemisphere are getting ready to settle into the coming Winter. At Samhain the veil to the other side is thin and respect is given to the deceased, with Beltane the veil to the faery world is thin and their playful energy reminds us not to take things so seriously! Which is on reason why Beltane gives way to some hedonistic and pleasurable activities! The May Pole is traditionally seen as a phallic symbol to bring about fertility, but fertility does not limit itself to just creating life and can also be used for increasing creativity and prosperity!

Now, I know not everyone is Pagan or Wiccan and therefore won't be partaking in an actual ritual in the same ways. But allowing yourself to enjoy the energy that comes from this time can come in more conventional ways! Take some time to enjoy a bonfire with family and friends and discuss what you have planned to "create" in the next coming months. If you're a crafter, you can set up a day for scrapbooking, soap or candle making, or any other projects that you could share with others! JUST HAVE FUN!!

But, if you would like to celebrate Beltane in a more magickal way, here is a VERY simple Beltane Celebration from Llewellyn's website.

I usually like to include something in my sabbat posts from my own personal Book of Shadows, and I took some great thought about what I wanted to focus on after looking at where things are at with the Moon's energy. And I gotta say, I thought I might need to maybe take a different approach to things. Especially after a lot of the readings I've been having lately seem to have a different focus to them.

Not everyone is going to be in a blissfully happy relationship at this time... in fact, there might need to be some healing that needs to be done. Beltane is also a time of health and healing. It doesn't necessarily need to be physical; it can span mentally, emotionally, or even spiritually. Because we are in a waning phase, it's not the time to do magick to bring something to us. It's better to "shed" at this time. And because the Moon will be in Pisces for a good part of the day until it moves into Aries, the energy will be focused more in compassion and healing! Because this is somewhat candle related, you might want to take a look at my post about Manifesting with Candle Magick to put some extra energy into things! So, here's a spell to help mend a broken heart.

✪ Spell to Heal a Broken Heart ✪
Items Needed: Some paper and a pen; a small, heat-proof cauldron, bowl, or pot (you'll be burning paper!!); a white candle; a bowl of water (water from a natural spring, blessed water, or naturally collected rainwater is ideal; but if those aren't available, just add a teaspoon of salt to your tap water to counterbalance the chemicals); and at least one of the following flowers; carnation, daisy, geranium, and/or rose . For the tea you will be making you need hot water; an apple; a cinnamon stick if possible; at least one of these healing herbs; bay, lemon balm, peppermint, thyme, and/or cinnamon if you didn't have the stick available, and some honey if you'd like to flavor it. You may want to sit and hold your herbs, flowers, pen, and paper in your hands and/or bless your water that will be used for a few moments to infuse the items with your energy and intention!!

To set up your work space: Put the unlit white candle, to the left. Set the bowl of water on the right and snip the flower heads off the stems and place them in the water. Set your paper burning pot in the center, but towards the back so the three items create a triangle. Place the paper and pen in front of you.

To make your healing tea: Bring water to a boil and toss in 1/4 apple, 1 cinnamon stick and a pinch of your healing herbs. Let it sit for a moment, pour into your mug and add the honey if needed.

Start the spell by lighting the candle. Think about the things that are making you upset, and begin writing what's in your heart. Don't hold back! Get out the anger, pain, and frustration and whatever comes up. This can be highly emotionally cleansing, so if you start to cry, let it all out!! Use as much paper as you need until nothing more comes about. You can just write, make a letter or letters to someone, make a list, use random words/feelings and even drawing and doodling, of whatever is bothering you!

When you feel you have put everything down, fold up the paper and hold it in the candle flame. Once it is burning throw it into the heat-proof pot or cauldron. Watch it burn, and feel the release of the negative emotions that are making things stressful and hard to heal and move on from!

Sit and breathe a while, maybe even listen to some light meditative and uplifting music. You should feel somewhat drained from this purging of negativity.

Place your hands in the bowl of water. Allow the soothing energy to come into you. Cleanse your hands from the negative emotions that were being written down and wipe your face with the water to give you a feeling of being refreshed.

Now drink your tea and feel yourself being filled with healing and peaceful energy. Take a few more deep breaths and KNOW it is done.

Dispose the paper ashes in the dirt somewhere, the further from your house, the better! Pour the flower water on top of it and ask for the healing to happen for those involved as well.

You should now be feeling relieved!! Take it easy for the rest of the day or go enjoy some splurging on yourself!!

I hope this holiday blesses you with a positive transformation! And if you would like me to personalize some spellwork for you or you would like to have a healing session, take a look at my services page or send me a message at my email or facebook and I'd be happy to assist you!

Many Blessings!!

Celebrate Imbolc ~ Inspire Yourself!

Happy Imbolc!! This is actually one of my favorite holidays. Well, actually I enjoyed it a lot more when I lived up north as it really was a time where you knew that you were half way through Winter. Especially when Groundhog's Day would be so close and you'd be hoping that he didn't see his shadow and Spring would come early. And it looks like this year it's happening as Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow! But not so fast, technically the start of Spring is March 20th when the Sun moves into Aries at the Spring Eqiunox (Ostara). Which even if he did happen to see his shadow and there would be 6 more weeks of Winter, it's still about the same amount of time anyways!!

Imbolc is also known as Candlemas, Brigantia, Lupercus, Disting and various other names for different countries and traditions! All the celebrations revolve around the banishment of Winter. Brigid, Brighde, Brigit, or Brede; among other spellings, is the primary Goddess associated with this holiday and her name means "bright one". She is a triple Goddess in that she has the qualities of Maiden, Mother, and Crone. She is the Goddess of inspiration, creativity, poetry, prophecy, healing/medicine, fertility, fire, smithcrafting, and other crafts. I like to think of her as a can do crafty Mom! Brigid's Crosses are popular to make at this time and actually are very easy, click HERE to learn how! Traditionally they are made to protect the house from fire, but they also associated with keeping away disease and negativity and for protection in general. I actually posted a pic earlier on Facebook of the Dalai Lama holding up a Brigid's Cross while he has been visiting Ireland!

At this time it is good to welcome change! Get yourself out of old ruts and shake up your routine! It might not be the time to delve into Spring cleaning just yet, but you could change some things up such as painting a room, buying some new curtains or bedding, or even some organizational items. This is a time to be celebrating the things that are yet to be born and are waiting to be awakened from Winter's cold slumber. So with that, here is a candle spell for inspiration!!

✪ Spell for Inspiration
Items needed: 3 candles; 1 to represent the Goddess (dark blue or silver), 1 to represent you, and 1 for the inspirational focus. See my post on Manifesting with Candle Magick for a listing of candle colors!!

Arrange the candles in a triangle with the inspirational candle at the top, the Goddess candle to the right (the active side; as She will help guide you to your goal!), and your candle to the bottom left point (the receptive side). Light your candles in the reverse order as placed; left (you), Goddess (right), inspiration (top). Take a moment to focus on your goal and then say the following:

"Candle bright, burning fire.
Shine within me and inspire.
Listen to the words I speak,
and clear a path to what I seek.
Let my wishes all come true,
as they burn so bright with you!
For the good of all with harm to none,
as I will, let it be done!"

If you are looking for inspiration for writing or other craft work, try doing some while the candles are burning! The energy will be amplified if you start putting some of the work in immediately during the spell itself. Continue to let the candles burn down for as long as possible, preferably completely. But if you can't, take any remnants and either bury them in some dirt, throw them in a body of water, or just toss them in the trash!

I hope this holiday blesses you with an awakening inspiration and transformation! And if you would like me to personalize some spellwork for you or would like me to take a look at any pressing matter you might have or you would like to enjoy some healing, take a look at my services page or send me a message at my email or facebook and I'd be happy to assist you!

Full Moon in Leo

Leo Fairy - @ Etsy by Fairies By Nuria
The Full Moon in Leo occurs at 11:38 PM EST on Saturday and is the first Full Moon of the new year! With the energy being on the Leo/Aquarius axis the feeling of creativity within ourselves that we can share with others is brought to light! The ruler of Leo is, of course, our life force the Sun. Leo rules the 5th house; our house of creativity, among other things. It's one reason I picked the picture to use. I LOVE Etsy!! There are some awesomely creative artists on there! And sooner or later I'll be putting up some of my work there; both artwork and magickal items that I make such as incense, herbal body sprays and perfumes, household sprays, etc. Aquarius' rules the 11th house; our house of friendships and hopes and dreams. The traditional ruler of Aquarius is Saturn which also is the ruler of Capricorn.

And so the The New Moon in Capricorn that occurred on January 11th, gave us the need to find direction and security in our emotions. Now that we're at the Full Moon we are at a culminating point of feeling that the way we express our individuality will directly affect the way we feel about ourselves in a way that also reflects our self confidence to others... But that's not always so easy to come to terms with at times either and we all have our own doubts with the hopes and dreams we wish to achieve. So what better time than the Full Moon to cast a spell to cast out our doubts! Saturday is ruled by Saturn as well, and since Saturn can be a little restrictive in nature, usually spells are done in a way of binding or banishing. You see how everything just seems to fall into place together? Such is the way of nature! And so, here we are with a spell to get rid of self doubt and to pick ourselves up with some confidence. Of course, you can alter it if you like!!

✪ Spell to Cast Out Self-Doubt ✪
Items needed: a red or pink candle (for self love), white candle (for cleansing), black candle (for banishing), salt (preferably sea salt), sugar, 2 pieces of paper, and 2 heat resistant bowls.

*Before the actual working you may wish to take a bath and place some salt in it as well to draw out any negativity, or a shower and visualize the water bathing you in white light!

Arrange the 3 candles in a triangle with the red candle on the left side (the receptive side), the black candle on the right side (the active side), and the white candle at the top of the triangle (the divine). Place the 2 bowls between the top candle and side candles.. this sorta makes a star out of the items! In the bowl on the left, place some sugar; in the bowl on the right, place some salt. Make sure you keep a little of the salt and sugar handy for the next part!

Take one of your pieces of paper and write down all your doubts and fears. Really get it all out there of what you're scared to achieve, any insecurities you feel, etc.. Place this in the bowl of salt. Take your other piece of paper and write down all that you're wanting to achieve, your positive attributes, etc.. Place this in the bowl of sugar.

Now take the paper from the salt, sit and think for a moment of the feelings and really FEEL the energy that comes from this worry, fear, anxiety... then say: "I bind my low self-esteem and doubt. With these feelings, I can do without. Take this negativity away from me. And as I will, so mote it be!". Light the black candle and burn your paper of doubt and fear in the salt bowl and toss some more salt into it to cast out your fears!

Then take the paper from the sugar and sit and think about how much you're appreciated by others, the friendships you have, the creativity that is within you and the hopes and dreams you want to achieve. Bring this energy into you and feel yourself expand in hopefulness! Then say: "I bring to myself creativity and love. With blessings from the divine above. These changes that I need to see. And as I will, so mote it be!". Light the red or pink candle and burn your paper of hopes and dreams in the sugar bowl and toss some more sugar into it for sweet blessings!

Take a moment to watch these 2 candles burn and feel yourself letting go of the fears as they're replaced with of feelings of love, hope, strength and the desire to achieve the best that you can! Hear the roar of the mighty lion!!

Now light the white candle and continue to feel, and visualize yourself as confident, creative, and successful. Then say: "For the good of all, with harm to none. As I will, let it be done!".

Continue to let the candles burn down for as long as possible, preferably completely. But if you can't, take any remnants and either bury them in some dirt, throw them in a body of water, or just toss them in the trash!

I hope this Full Moon brings you closer to your dreams and strengthens you belief in yourself!! And if you would like me to personalize some spellwork for you or would like me to take a look at what you can expect over the next moon cycle, take a look at my services page or send me a message at my email or facebook and I'd be happy to assist you!

Happy Chinese New Year!!

恭贺新禧!! Happy Chinese New Year!! Welcome to the year of the Water Dragon! And I am SUPER excited to have found some time to write a new blog post! I know, finally, right!? For those of you that follow me on my Twitter or Facebook you’d know I’ve been a little busy with my now 7 month old! I’m not trying to make excuses, but hey, life happens!!! Anyways, let’s stop discussing this boring stuff and get to the goodies!!

In Chinese astrology, the Dragon symbolizes luck, success, and happiness. Dragons are said to be innovative, self-assured, passionate, and free-spirited individuals. But they can also be unpredictable, selfish and quick-tempered! Since this is a Water year, it has a calming effect to the Dragon’s temperament and can make them more perceptive to the needs of others. Decisions in situations can be more carefully evaluated before rushing head first into new projects, giving more patience and success in the endeavors!

Here’s my take on what you can expect in the upcoming year for your Chinese horoscope. However, since the Chinese New Year doesn’t occur on the same date each year, it’s important to check if your Chinese sign is correct for the year listed! Here is a link to check your sign and the element for the year!

Rat (born 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008)
This should be one of the best years you’ve had in a while! However you’ll need to make sure you put in the effort AND make sure the risks you take are worth it, if should you leap before you look! You will have great luck in matters of career and will be able to secure finances! Be careful in keeping your ego in check so as not to create any office drama! If ever a time were to pursue your dreams, this is the time to make them all come true! Relationships may be risky if you put in the effort without getting the same in return.

Ox (born 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009)
The Dragon can bring about change and you may need to remain flexible if you want things to end up favorable. Even when things may seem difficult, there will be necessary learning experiences to be had! Career will require more focus in order to get ahead. Try not to make any major decisions and take things step by step. Relationships may be a little harder to manage since priorities look to be elsewhere. Communication will be crucial to work through your problems. You may find yourself relying on others a little too much and will need to stick more with what you know rather than trying to change yourself.

Tiger (born 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010)
While you rule the Western sky and the Dragon rules the East, don’t take that to mean you won’t be able to work together! Quite the opposite!! The Water element is also your most favorable so you’ll have more than enough luck and opportunities this coming year! Career choices may bring about some wild ideas so don’t get too carried away if you’re really wanting something long standing to work out. Passion will increase in your romance, but that doesn’t necessarily make for a stable relationship. You’ll need to talk things out to make sure you’re both on the same page if you want things to be lasting!

Rabbit (born 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011)
Things might be a little more challenging this year than they were last. But that is simply because the pace of the Dragon is a little quicker! The change you’ve been hoping for can finally end up becoming withstanding! Career and finances may need to be a priority before expenses become too much of a burden. It’s time to buckle down and make things happen for yourself before relying on anyone else. Relationships may become problematic if stress from work is bringing you down. Be patient and allow things to work out naturally. There are some things you won’t be able to compromise with.

Dragon (born 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012)
It’s your year!! But try not to be over confident or it could end up burning you! While you will have luck on your side, this doesn’t mean that success won’t come without some work! You’ll need to make sure that you give what you get and maintain a balance. Within your career it may be difficult to keep your concentration if you feel the desire to get ahead quickly. Make sure you find a routine that you can stick with and don’t take things personally when conflicts arise. Romance will focus on the trust that you have for others. Now isn’t the time to settle for second best! Respect will need to be earned if things are to succeed!

Snake (born 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001)
Things may not be too much different than they were last year! You may result in having more temptation, but you know when something is a sure thing and when you need to let it pass. Your career is sure to be on the upswing, but more responsibilities will come as a result as well! This won’t be anything you can’t handle and you’ll enjoy the respect you receive! Relationships will have some highs and lows and you could be pressed to make decisions you’re not comfortable with. If you don’t want to take all the responsibility, you’ll need to work together to come to a resolution.

Horse (born 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002)
You can expect things to pick up pace this year and you’ll need to try and keep your stress in check! Career and finances have been a priority for a while and now is the time that your ambitions will finally be fulfilled! Being the “work horse”, you’ll enjoy being put to the test to keep the momentum going! Romance can be frustrating and may be feeling as though it is taking time away from your career endeavors. Finding a balance between work and pleasure will be crucial in your relationships! A renewed passion will bring you much closer to others if you give yourself the chance to enjoy it!

Sheep (born 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003)
While things may become more hectic, it doesn’t mean you need to follow the flock! This is the time to maintain what you’ve been able to achieve and try not to mix things up too much. Your career and finances will remain stable and you’ll be able to build things up substantially IF you don’t feel the extra money burning a hole in your pocket! Your impulses will be strong this year and within relationships this may end up bringing disagreements if you can’t control your emotions. Be careful with whom you decide to trust or you could find yourself being taken advantage of.

Monkey (born 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004)
You can expect to make this one of your greatest years! But at the same time you’ll need to make sure you don’t get too ahead of yourself or you might miss out on crucial details that might cause problems later on! Anticipate many new opportunities being available to you, just make sure you don’t hop from one to the other and concentrate on what you really want to achieve and you’ll be successful! Don’t be surprised if something or someone from the past is brought to your attention. Relationships will bring about a greater understanding and appreciation on what you bring to those you’re involved with.

Rooster (born 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005)
Last year wasn’t your best, but you’re ready to accept the work that is needed to make this one better! Creativity awakens within and your career will be prosperous as you take this energy and harness it into the ability to make things different for yourself! This may also be the time to focus on getting some new training that will make you more desirable within your field. Your relationships and love life will also get some much needed assistance and even when drama comes about you’ll be able to work through things so that those around you can see you’re putting the effort in that you haven’t in the past!

Dog (born 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006)
Don’t anticipate this being one of your favorite years! Dragons and Dogs don’t get along much, so there’ll definitely be some challenges! While your career and finances may need some work, you will have some that are hopeful for your downfall. That’s not to say everyone is out to get you, several will remain helpful to you but they’ll only be able to do so much. You could find yourself working too hard to prove your worth! Commitments may also not be your strong suit this year in relationships, no matter how loyal you’d like to be. Your bark will prove more fatal than your bite so choose your words wisely!

Pig (born 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007)
Things may seem like they’re moving fast paced and you could feel as though any moment there will be a disaster just waiting to happen. But that’s not the case! It’s all about going with the flow this year! Even though things may be a little demanding in your career, you’ll be able to be successful in managing any stress that is created from the workflow! As a result from your hard work a promotion and increase in your finances is likely as well! Relationships may be on the backburner at times, but you’ll want to focus more on deeper emotions rather than what is physically available to you.

Well it was great to get back to working on my blog! Hope you enjoyed the quickie overlook for your Chinese horoscopes and if you have any questions or would like me to take a more in depth look at your year or maybe you’d like to know what Feng Shui cures might work for you; feel free to contact me at my facebook or email! Be sure to stop back soon as I'll be offering some Valentine’s Day specials!!

Many Blessings and have a great week everyone!

Celebrate Ostara

Happy Ostara (also Eostara, Eostre) or also known as the Spring/Vernal Equinox! It is celebrated when night and day are in perfect balance. That is, they are the same amount of hours. At this time we are inviting the fertility of the Earth to awaken. So, it is also the first day of Spring!!! Which believe me, after being in FL for a few years and experiencing Winter again, I'm MORE than happy Spring has sprung! Now is the time to consider what goals or wishes you would like to achieve that you will nurture for the next few months to blossom and grow!

With my last Celebrate Ostara post, I talked about gardening and how I bless my seeds for the upcoming growing season. This time, I'm going to focus more on manifesting goals! Now is the perfect time for achieving new or uncompleted goals, wishes and dreams! No more excuses for why you may be hindering your growth! In a sense you will be blooming yourself! :)

With many of my spells I like to work with candles. Candle flames are seen on all astral levels and can carry your workings out into these planes. The flames can also be a representation of the growing sunlight as well as your goals being achieved! There is an old wives tale of burning green candles at the Equinox to bring in financial prosperity, but this of course could also be used for any manifestation by substituting another candle color; pink for love, purple for spirituality/psychic abilities, etc. You can find more information on my post Manifesting with Candle Magick.

First steps:
I begin by cleansing my home and self by lighting a sage stick. Then I will bless my candles to be used. If I'm using oils on them, I will "dress" them and inscribe any symbols I would like them to have, then will hold them in my hands and focus my intent into them, following up with infusing them with Reiki energy as well. If I'm making incense, I will gather all the ingredients and will bless them and leave them on my altar. Because I am such a visual person, when I manifest, I like to have a list to focus on as well. Sometimes I'll make it super pretty with Photoshop and other times I'll just use a piece of paper and doodle my own designs on it to spiffy it up, and still other times I will make a wish board with pictures of what I'd like to manifest! The main purpose to any spell work or energy work is to make it work for YOU and the best way you can feel your energy pouring into it!

Next steps:
Set everything up!! You'll want your space to look pretty! Especially if you would like to do the working more than once. Usually I can find some pretty good flowers at Walmart or the grocery store that'll make the altar look nice! Set up the candles, and incense if you're using it.

Begin the work:
Depending on your beliefs, you may or may not cast a circle to work within. Either way if you do or don't, take a moment to center your thoughts and do a light meditation to get yourself ready for the work. After, you may want to call in some deities if you work with them, but if not, you can just start with the manifesting! Light your incense and candles and begin stating your affirmations you would like to manifest. Here are a few examples!

Personal:
I choose my happiness and eliminate negative thoughts that keep me from my goals.
I trust the Universe and what I need or want is always taken care of.
I completely accept myself and others as unique beings.

Prosperity:
I give thanks for my substantial increase in my finances.
I trust that I have far more than what I feel is needed coming my way.
My work is deeply fulfilling and I will receive the income I need.

Love:
I am open to giving and receiving love.
I am worthy to be loved and will share my love of life with others.
The love I have been looking for has been present all along.

Health:
My body and mind are happy and healthy.
My body is receiving the proper care that it requires.
I am healthy and strong and love my body.

Now, these are just some examples and I'm sure there are far more available on the internet with a quick Google search of "affirmations" or you will be able to come up with some that are just as effective! Besides writing or chanting your desires you just need to relax, keep positive and allow time for the ritual to work it's magick for you!

There are many ways to celebrate this wonderful holiday! If you need any help personalizing your spiritual path, feel free to send me a message at my email or facebook and I'd be more than happy to help you!!

May you have a Blessed Ostara!

Full Moon in Pisces

The Full Moon in Pisces occured at 1:05pm EST today; Tuesday, August 24, 2010. And is the climatic blessing of the projects started during the New Moon in Leo on August 9, which brought us closer to our inspirational creativity and the ideals we hope to achieve. This Full Moon is on the Pisces/Virgo axis and with the Sun making it's move into Virgo and having it's ruler, Mercury, currently retrograde in Virgo as well; we will still be introspective in our dealings. We have the sense in not rushing things, avoiding the small details is where things get complicated! The Pisces Moon with it's traditional and modern rulers also being retrograde, allows us to see the bigger picture in order to wrap up the final loose ends to make way for bigger and better!

Virgo rules the 6th house, this is our house of everyday work and routines. It is our employer's, employees and our job; not necessarily "career". We can also see our habits, health and well-being here. As stated, it's ruler Mercury is retrograde. Pisces oversees the 12th house. It's traditional ruler being Jupiter, currently retrograde in Aries, and it's modern ruler, Neptune, is also retrograde in Aquarius. The 12th house energy can be one of self sacrifice but it can also be intuitive and dreaminess. It brings about a retreat and reflection. The 12th house also has ties to mysticism, occult, and psychic matters; as well as hospitals, prisons, and institutions.

What needs to be remembered is that the sign is the modifier of the feelings and actions of a planet, while the house shows how it reacts to the modifying influence. The sign is what a planet is, and the house is how it's going to do.

Throughout the Moon's cycles, there is a death and rebirth happening. During the Full Moon a time of personal fulfillment brings us through the cycle of exploring new thoughtfulness.. While in Pisces, focus will be on making time for reflection, meditation, breaking bad habits, finishing up forgotten projects, regaining confidence, and the need to establish a better routine. This Full Moon with it's Pisces/Virgo influence will help us look deep within to be appreciative of the path we've taken so far and be looking forward to the new cycle we begin as our dreams become realized!!

Now I know usually I will include some sort of spell or even some more astro tidbits, but I am actually going through my own new cycle and am planning a move for next month. We just finalized the drop off of our containers and I have been feverishly packing and cleaning to make sure we can get the move going without too many upsets. Which is a lot of planning when you have pets and 2 kids to transport 1500+ miles!! So some of my blog posts might be a little snipped over the next month, but once we get settled in I expect the blog to pick back up! If you watch my twitter or facebook you'll be sure to see my updates as I get us on the road. It's an exciting time for us to be moving again, but it's time to "tie up some loose ends"! ;)

I hope this Full Moon brings you closer to your dreams and if you would like me take a look at what you can expect over the next moon cycle, take a look at my services page or send me a message at my email or facebook and I'd be happy to assist you!

Many Blessings!!

New Moon in Leo

We're about to start a new cycle here with this New Moon falling on the Leo/Aquarius axis! Leo is the ruler of the 5th house and ruled by the Sun. The 5th house is where we find our jollies; creation, procreation and recreation!! So, namely our artistic inspired creative talents; how we approach romance, courtship, and sex (or making babies, since 5th house is also for children!); sports and games, gambling and speculation. basically, the house of fun! Aquarius is traditionally ruled by Saturn and it's modern ruler Uranus, and is ruler over the 11th house. The 11th house is where we find our ideals, humanity and community. These are the ideals you seek to live by or achieve; your hopes, desires, dreams, and your humanitarian concerns. It's how you establish your individuality and freedom; and maybe how you break the rules! But also how you relate to friends and groups of people who share your ideals.

Now remember, the Sun and Moon are the 2 most important "planets" in your chart. Technically they aren't planets, but are luminaries, since they give off light! The Sun represents our emotional security or insecurities, temperament and attachments. The Moon is our feelings and our perception of emotions. When the Sun and Moon are activated together, it creates an intense energy flow between the Sun (consciousness) and the Moon (feelings).

So what does this mean for this New Moon? Well, these Leoine energies are giving us that feeling like our inner child, or Fetch in the Feri world, wants to come out and play!! Leo energy is ambitious, outgoing, even royal. You want it your way and you want it NOW! And while Leo's energy can somewhat be self centered.. Aquarius is more about them. So you can see, we might need to be a little careful in the way we express ourselves or what we want to say might not come out quite right to others!

Throughout the Moon's cycles, there is a death and rebirth happening. During the New Moon we let our instincts lead us. While in Leo, focus will be on making time for play, creative projects, reclaiming personal power; celebrating your uniqueness, undertaking an adventure and risks, stepping into more leadership, and enjoying passionate love and friendship. This New Moon with it's Leo/Aquarius influence will help us push ourselves to realize that we can only achieve what we set ourselves out for!!

Those with a planet or angle at 18 degrees of Leo or Aquarius (or the other fixed signs of Taurus or Scorpio), may feel the strength of the New Moon more directly. So let's take a look at how this might effect your sign!

Aries (March 21 - April 19)- This New Moon activates your 5th House, and as previously stated, house of creativity, children and hobbies. You may have the feeling of wanting to make new friendships; or the friends you do have, you'll want the bond stronger! If you've put any creative projects on the back burner, now is a great time to get back to work on them. If you have children, take time to play games with them that you enjoyed.. or if your older, there's nothing wrong with a couple of beers for an adult game night either!

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)- As this New Moon activates your 4th House, it brings focus to your home and family. Events from the past may unexpectedly have you thinking of how it affects you in the present. You might also find yourself wanting to tackle home projects that you've put off to make your home more how you've wanted it to be or if relocation has been on your mind, this may be the start of that action! Any social connections at your house are sure to bring you deep emotional satisfaction. Your appreciation for family is easily shown.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)-You may feel a strong drive to achieve what you've been looking for through intellect and mental accomplishments as the New Moon sits in your 3rd House of communication and intelligence. The 3rd House also indicates siblings and neighbors, so you may be inspired to work on the relationship and become closer. This will be a time to expand and communicate your ideas! If you have a special talent, you might find satisfaction in teaching others your skill. Since this is also a time of increased awareness, establishing a meditation routine may prove beneficial!

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)- Finances will focus in heavily for with the New Moon hanging out in your 2nd House of income and worth. It might be tough to realize what's serving it's purpose for you and what's expendable! Financial transactions may factor in at this time. You may be living beyond your means and an increased need for domestic security will have a greater effect on your emotional well-being. You could start to question your understanding of security vs. materialism.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)- With this being YOUR New Moon in your in your 1st House, your personality and approach with others shine! Your will and self awareness are abundant! But don't let your Leoine self get the better of you! You'll need to be careful of impatience and compulsiveness as changeable moods, emotional excitability, and self expression factor in heavily! You may also have a tendency for emotional impulsiveness and could be confronted about your ego.

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)- The New Moon finds itself in your 12th House you may need to re-evaluate the signals you subconsciously broadcast. This is not the time to lose faith in your goals. But you might be surprised if you shift your focus from recognition for your actions to feeling fulfilled by the service you're providing. This is the time to listen to your inner voice, rely on your intuition and take time for some self contemplation. Psychic sensitivity, moodiness, and loneliness may occur at this time.

Libra (September 23 - October 22)- This dynamic Leo New Moon finds itself in your 11th House, the house of groups and friendships. You may find this energy as being restricted or be faced with pressure from others. With Venus in your sign as well, you would do best to trust your actions are done with the best intentions. You may be the one that needs to take the lead in organizing a group experience if you want to spread your humanitarianism. At this time, you may find your interest in occult subjects are heightened as well and you can easily research the information you look for.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)- This New Moon is represented in your 10th House. The house of  career success and status. If you're looking for power or fame, you need to realize it comes with price! You may also find that you receive unfavorable publicity or disruptions from everyday family life can interfere in your career. Any goals can be related to establishing domestic security. The ambition to succeed is there, be sure the reason you're working so hard is really what you want at the end result!

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)- As this New Moon finds itself in your 9th House of philosophy, higher education, traditions and spiritual matters; you may find yourself taking time for travel or venturing into a new educational experience. You may question your religious or philosophical outlook. This is not a time to be limiting of yourself or condescending, you'll need to keep an open mind. Use this time to find your inspiration and harness the energy to realize your highest hopes!

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)- This New Moon is represented in your 8th House; the house of shared resources, physical, psychological, spiritual and psychic evolution. You may feel the desire to end old connections or emotional ties to those you feel are holding you back! You have strong recuperative abilities that let you bounce back from any struggle that's been happening. Just be careful of impatience and compulsiveness.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)-  Relationships will focus in heavily for with the New Moon hanging out in your 7th House. It might be tough to realize what emotions are serving their purpose for you! You can expect more contact with the general public at this time and interaction with women will also be featured. While you are likely to have strong emotional reactions with others and their attitudes, be careful of any emotional outbursts or quarrels at this time that can come about from financial problems or family.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)- During this New Moon, it'll find itself in your 6th House, house of health and daily routines. Household order, cleanliness, and organization will be critical to your emotional well being. You may find problems at work or relating with others as well. Also, if you've had any health problems, now would be the time to address them. Establishing a routine for a healthy body and mind can be beneficial!

I hope the New Moon's energy treats you well! Remember that during the New Moon phase this can be the time for spellworking that will bring things to you!! If you have any questions regarding how the planets are affecting you personally, or you would like a spell personalized to your needs, you can reach me at facebook or email!

Many Blessings!!

Black & White: It's all about intention!

I had a great experience on Chance's radio show yesterday!! But I did want to touch on a few things real quick since we did have a limited amount of time. Chance had asked me about "white" magick vs. "black" magick, and I had focused more on how I see the difference.. when really I could of simplified it as this... There is NO black or white magick in all truth. The energy is just there and doesn't really "pick sides"! It is really in the intention of the person doing the working!! Now, here's a way to think of it as well... In art, black is the absence of all visible light, while white is filled with the complete spectrum. And if we didn't have black; we wouldn't have shadows, defining lines, etc.. And the same goes for white as it is the highlights! Black is just the absence of light, but that doesn't mean that there isn't anything there; while with white, EVERYTHING is there and very well could "overshadow" your main cause. So, we really do need both!

As I said in the show, we are souls in a physical body living a human experience. And we very well could say "I'm not going to get angry", but we would need to also see what the cost of that expression may bring us to as well. Sometimes you DO need to get angry! Anger is directly related to a PASSIONATE response. You need to have that passion in order to reach your goals or you become apathetic! Now, while I do resonate more as a Pagan, rather than a Wiccan. I do believe Wicca is a very good religion for some that are reclaiming a part of themself that they may have lost due to some oppression they may have faced. It definitely was that way for me! But as I walked the path, I also realized I WAS suppressing a very needed part of my life as well and that is why I no longer felt I would call myself Wiccan. ALL Wiccan's are Pagan, but not all Pagan's are Wiccan, and all Witches are not necessarily Pagan either.. I've met PLENTY of Christian Witches!! So now I want to go over some of the "rules".

The main difference between Paganism and Wicca is that Wiccan's have the Rede and Law of Three. The short version of the Rede is simply; "An ye harm none, do what ye will." Here is the extended version of the Wiccan Rede.

Bide ye the Wiccan laws ye must, in perfect love and perfect trust.
Ye must live and let live, fairly take and fairly give.

Cast the Circle thrice about, to keep unwelcome spirits out.
To bind the spell well every time, let the spell be spoken in rhyme.

Soft of eye and light of touch, speak ye little and listen much.
Deosil go by waxing moon, chanting out the Wiccan runes.
Widddershins go by waning moon, chanting out the baneful tune.

When the Lady's moon is new, kiss the hand of Her times two.
When the moon rides at Her peak, then the heart's desire seek.

Heed the North wind's mighty gale, lock the door and trim the sail.
When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss thee on the mouth.
When the Moor wind blows from the West, departed spirits have no rest.
When the wind blows from the East, expect the new and set the feast.

Nine woods in the cauldron go, burn them quick and burn them slow.
Elder be the Lady's tree, burn it not or cursed ye'll be.

When the wheel begins to turn, let the Beltane fires burn.
When the wheel has turned to Yule, light the log and the Horned One rules.

Heed ye flower, bush and tree, by the Lady, Blessed be.
Where the rippling waters go, cast a stone, the truth to know.

When ye have and hold a need, hearken not to other's greed.
With a fool no seasons spend, or be counted as his friend.

Merry meet and merry part, bright the cheeks and warm the heart.
Mind the Threefold Law ye should, three times bad and three times good.

When misfortune is enow, wear the blue star on your brow.
True in love ye must ever be, lest ye love be false to thee.

These words the Wiccan Rede fulfill,: An ye harm none, do what ye will.

Now the Law of Three is simply that what you send out, you get back 3 times! So send out good, get good back 3 times as good! This is one I kinda never understood.. mostly because I'm a science nerd so I never really figured there was some sort of law that would change this other than what you send out, you get back.. plain and simple. This is seen in Newton's Laws! Law 1 states, "Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it." So as I said, magick is magick.. it doesn't subscribe to "white" or "black" until the intent is applied! Law 3 states, "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." Nowhere does it say that the action or reaction becomes amplified! I then felt that the saying of "All that is, is." was also a very good way to look at things in this way. So now we come to some more rules or laws..

Spiritual Laws of the Craft
1. No truth is absolute.
2. The Universe consists of opposites.
3. For every action there is a reaction.
4. We are all one, we are all connected.
5. The ultimate act of spirituality is creation through love manifesting harmony.
6. What we give to spirit will return to us.
7. We must never close our mind to knowledge.
8. A circle is a holy place, negativity is not acceptable.
9. The body of the witch is used to channel and focus energy,
tools are merely focusing aids.
10. Use common sense, to not teach the mysteries to fools.
11. Witches are not to give the identities of other witches as
discrimination still haunts the earth.
12. Acknowledge the presence of the Gods in your daily life through word and deed.
13. The Earth is a living being; take care how you live on your host.

The Practical Laws of the Craft
1. Never use a system you do not understand.
2. Do not set a price on magickal work (other than supplies and time/energy used).
3. Never use your magickal skills to show off.
4. Learn to banish first, as binding may be overkill.
5. Know that what is created it thought manifests in reality.
6. Never lie to yourself.
7. Injuries, sickness often result from low self-esteem, RARELY from negative magick.
8. Power grows in relation to wisdom.
9. Take great caution in using magick for negative purposes.
10. Never do less than your best.
11. Do not give into the negative words of others about your faith or lifestyle.
12. Witches are not to give the identities of other Witches as discrimination still haunts the Earth.
13. Do not lend out your Magickal Record.
14. Property owned should be guarded mundanely and spiritually.
15. Do not seek revenge; the Gods and laws of karma will punish sufficiently.
16. Respect the science of magick, but it is not sacred.
17. Sex is not to be used for ritual unless between consenting, mature adults.
It is NEVER used in teaching.
18. Teaching is not done for money, and must be in a safe environment,
with equal rights for both student and teacher.

13 Goals of a Witch
1. Know yourself.
2. Know your Craft.
3. Learn.
4. Apply knowledge with wisdom.
5. Achieve balance.
6. Keep your words in good order.
7. Keep your thoughts in good order, thoughts are things.
8. Celebrate life.
9. Attune with the cycles of the Earth.
10. Breathe and eat correctly.
11. Exercise the body.
12. Meditate, exercise the mind.
13. Honor the Gods and the Old Ways.

As you can see, many of these rules and laws are very much COMMON SENSE! And still contains the old adage of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!". Witches, Wiccan's and Pagan's are your neighbors, your friends, and your family! I really love the part in Practical Magic where the one aunt tells the ladies involved in their circle that "There's a little Witch in all of us!".

If you would like to explore Earth based spirituality with me, I will soon be offering a class!! Please send me a message at facebook or my email if you would like to be placed on the class list or receive more info!! I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend and stop back by soon for Tarotscopes!

Many Blessings!

Celebrate Lammas ~ Count your blessings!

Lammas, often called Lughnasadh, is the first harvest celebration and while it does mark the middle of summer, most will see it as the beginning of cooler weather as Autumn starts to descend. It is a cross-quarter holiday, halfway between the Summer Solstice (Litha) and the Autumnal Equinox (Mabon). On the Wheel of the Year, it is opposite Imbolc. Since this is the first of the harvest festivals, and there's still plenty of time left in the growing season, this is a good time to make a blessing for any further abundance to come into your life.

At this time we are thankful for the first harvests of the season, mostly grains and fruits, and will include these in our sabbat feast. Traditionally this is a time to bake bread. If you've never made bread before, it can be somewhat tricky. Mostly because humidity (and sometimes altitude) plays a BIG factor in letting the dough rise! I've learned this the hard way that bread you make in CO, will not be the same sort of bread you get in OH or even FL and little tweaks will need to happen. Now, I would include my super secret bread recipe, but lemme tell ya.. it's a PAIN to get right. So in order to save everyone's sanity, I'm going to put up my second favorite bread recipe; CORN BREAD!! I absolutely love corn bread!! It's also really easy to make! Here's what you'll need:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup white sugar (I've also tried this with 1/3 cup of white and 1/3 cup of brown sugar! YUM!)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease an 8 inch square pan or a loaf pan.
  2. Melt the butter on the stove or in microwave. Stir in sugar. Add eggs and beat until blended. Combine your milk with baking soda and stir into butter/egg mixture. Then add in cornmeal, flour, and salt.. There'll be some lumpiness so don't drive yourself crazy trying to get it smooth. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. For the last few 1-2 minutes you may want to baste with some melted butter to get a nice crispy, golden brown crust.
Now besides being thankful for the fruits of our labor, this is also a great time to focus on the skills that we have since this is also known as the Festival of Lugh. Lugh is not only a God of Light, but also of arts, crafts, and skilled work! With honoring the God Lugh, games and sports are played to celebrate strength and good health. What better than an afternoon game of horseshoes in the backyard! Since we're talking arts and crafts, items made for the household at this time are also blessed with good fortune. And because we're talking about a harvest holiday here and I love crafting incense from home grown herbs and flowers, what better than a Lammas incense recipe!!

1 part Acacia, 1/2 part Anise, 1 part Chamomile, 1/2 part Cinnamon, 1/2 part Meadowsweet, and a few drops of Apple blossom oil
Combine all the dry ingredients together and apply a few drops of oil for your scent preference. Apple blossom is rather strong so take it a drop at a time!! Once you mix it all together, set it out in the light of the sun for it to be blessed before burning!

Lammas, like Beltane, is a traditional time for handfastings. If you're already married or in a committed relationship you may consider a  renewal of vows or a statement of your commitment! Family plays an important role as well. Give your loved ones a small present to show your appreciation! As Summer's end nears, remember its warmth and generous sunlight as the nights become longer we are reminded that nothing in the Universe is constant.

I can be reached for life awakening readings at LivePerson and email or facebook. If you'd like any further information on personalizing your spiritual path you can send me a message at my email or facebook.

May this Lammas bless you all with lots of love, and have a plentiful harvest!

June 26th 2010 Full Moon Eclipse - Make it Count!

We're blessed with a Partial Lunar Eclipse on June 26th, 2010 at around 7:38am EST. This eclipse will be at 4-4½ degrees in Capricorn/Cancer with the moon conjunct Pluto. We can expect structural changes and truths to be revealed. This may also be due to the strength of the cardinal grand cross that is not fully finished yet. With this eclipse, those with prevalent cardinal influences in their chart, the signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn; in the early signs will experience these energies more strongly.

Women may be more strongly effected as well as we feel the moon's emotional pull to the sun's active response energy. Feelings may be difficult to understand properly. Though a feeling of achieving emotional stability will be heavily pursued as well!

The Full Moon is always a time of personal fulfillment and soon brings us through the cycle of exploring new thoughtfulness. With a Capricorn moon, we dig our heels into our goals to make the reality we want to achieve possible!!

During this time you may want to work on some personal goals! I am also available for performing spellwork at this time. If you would like a spell performed, you can contact me at my email or at facebook. Alternately, you may want to have an astrological chart done at this time too to see what sort of influences may be coming up for you in the next couple of months! Take a look at my services page!

At this time of the eclipse you may want to do a simple candle spell. Here is what you will need.

    • 1 white candle, 1 black candle
    • Piece of paper
    • Green marker for financial matters
    • Pink marker for love matters
    • Blue marker for health/healing matters
    • Black marker for emotional matters
    • Orange marker for creativity/mind matters
    • Purple marker for spirituality/psychic matters
    • 1 sage stick (optional)

Light your black candle, and gaze at it for a moment or two. Then close your eyes and take a few deep breaths and think about all the things that are dragging you down, making you generally unhappy.. you know all the BLAH stuff! Take all of it and just put it in a big, ugly, black trash bag. Make sure it's ALL in there.. you don't want to leave anything behind!! Tie it up good and tight! You might even notice that it's trying to open back up, but don't let it. You don't need to let any of that stuff interfere anymore. Once you're sure you've put all your garbage in it's place. Take in one HUGE deep breath, hold it for 5 counts and then let it all out at once in a BIG "HAAAAAAA" sound. Now snuff out the candle and sit in the quiet stillness for a moment.

Light your white candle, and gaze at it for a moment or two again. If you have a sage stick, light it now and let the smoke swirl around you, cleansing your energy. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and think about all the things you are achieving in your life! See how easily what you are working towards comes to you without any struggle or strife! It is just so simple how you thought at first where things were troubling are now working out exactly how you had planned! Keep these pleasant thoughts going until you have worked your energy to an ecstatic feeling of happiness. Now you will want to write down your affirmations!

Here is one for love: I am creating the relationship I am meant to have! The more I appreciate the attention I receive from others, the more I will open myself up to the feelings of love!

Here is one for career: I am living the path I have made for myself! I will continue to work towards creating the contacts I want to create the prosperity I desire!

And one for health: I am treating my body as a living being. I will give it the care and nurturing that it needs to further make healthier choices in my life!

For emotional stability: I am allowing my emotions to become balanced. I will give options to myself for feeling situations in another way. I will remain calm in times of stress and be joyous of the times of relaxation!

For creativity: I am bursting with creative expression! I can't contain the emotions of electrifying energy that is flowing from every (... insert word for a writer, paint stroke for painters, seam and hem for seamstress, etc..)! My creations are a direct expression of my love for life!

Take a few moments after you are done writing your affirmations and really AFFIRM them! Say them aloud a few times until the sound of your voice is reverberating within. You will know when you truly are feeling the magick being made! Once you are done, extinguish your white candle. Take the black one and bury it or put it in a trashcan outside. Do NOT leave it in your house! The white one you can light at any time during the next few weeks to further "up" your manifesting.

I wish you a happy Full Moon Eclipse!!!
    Many Blessings!!!

Celebrate Litha - Life, Love & Happiness!

The Summer Solstice marks the Sun's movement into Cancer at the height of summertime and a time for celebrating our abundance and happiness in life! Summer as a kid always meant being happy to be out of school and running with wild abandonment for as long as the sun stayed shining! The solar radiance is providing for our growing plants and helping them push for the final productions for when we get ready for the coming shorter days when we will harvest what we've accomplished to nurture. This is a great time to enjoy an afternoon picnic, barbeque, or even a traditional bonfire celebration! At this time we count our blessings, but we can also cleanse ourselves from troublesome problems, sorrow, illness, addictions, and general negative thinking. The Solstice marks a time of coming into balance and brings the elemental strength of the fiery Sun and emotional rainy waters together! First you might want to start the day with a fresh cleansing!

    • Take a shower and visualize the water bathing you in a cleansing white light. Let the water wash away any negativity. Feel the water absorbing through your body. Feel your own body's water level. After all, our bodies are nearly half composed of water. Feel the white light coursing throughout your body leaving you invigorated with life's blessings! Step out into the day's Sun and soak up more of the Earth's healing light.
    or..

    • If you're lucky enough to be living near a flowing body of water.. immerse yourself and allow your body to float on your back if possible. If you're not comfortable with that or the water is a little rough, just sitting in the water is fine too. Feel the water all around you and visualize the water being absorbed THROUGH you. Feel any negativity being pulled away from your body and dispersed into the water where if it is a fresh watered body, it will flow to the ocean and be neutralized by the salt, or if you're in the ocean feel any negativity instantly disintegrate away from you! Come out of the water and allow the Sun to fill you with it's light. (Hopefully you remember sunscreen too if you're outside!)

After the cleansing, make a list of the things you would like to continue to work to achieve and what you will want to "harvest" in the next few months. You may want to choose to anoint this list with some essential oil, or spray with a scent that reminds you of summer. Once you are done, say a small prayer or chant that you will continue to be thankful for your blessings received. Then roll the piece of paper up into a scroll and tie a red piece of yarn or string around it 9 times to seal your intentions. Keep this scroll handy as you'll need it at the time of Mabon also known as the Autumn Equinox! You may also want to burn a Litha inspired incense to help carry your prayers and wishes. Here is a recipe that I enjoy using!
    • 2 parts Sandalwood, 2 part Chamomile, 2 part Apple Blossoms, 1 part Mugwort, 1 part Vervain, 1 part Yarrow, 3 drops Rose oil, 3 drops Carnation oil, 3 drops Lily oil

Finally; if love has been elusive, this is the BEST time to perform magick for some romance! Many old superstitions and divination methods are available at this time to find out who it is you're meant to be with! If you wash your face with the dew of Midsummer morning, the first man to gaze at you will fall in love. In Ireland, it is customary to put 9 sprigs of Yarrow under your pillow to dream of your beloved. Since a good number of weddings take place in June it has ALWAYS been an Italian custom for me to place a piece of cake under my pillow for prophetic dreams of love. This started when I was around 12 years old! The cake tradition then changes that once you have found your love, you will continue to have "sweet success" if you place a piece of wedding cake under your pillow! The following morning it's standard to toss the pieces out into the yard for the sweetness to be shared!

I hope this has given you some ideas on how you can celebrate the Summer Solstice! It's always a favorite time of mine as I know I'll be getting birthday presents in a few days time! LOL! If you need any assistance with your holiday celebration preparations, are wanting some love spell work done, or if you'd just like to chit chat, you can reach me at my email or facebook.

Have a superb Summer Solstice and many blessings!!!

    Celebrate Ostara

Ostara (also Eostara, Eostre) or the Spring/Vernal Equinox is celebrated when night and day are in perfect balance. That is, they are the same amount of hours. At this time we are inviting the fertility of the Earth to awaken. So, it is also signifying the first day of Spring!!! Though after looking at weather.com the last couple days, it seems there's still plenty of snow for some of you! But, this is a time of fertility and new beginnings! Now is the time to begin those projects that you will nurture for the next few months to blossom and grow!

Of course gardening is something that comes to mind straight away and I will always bless my seeds that I will be using for the upcoming season. I also bless any plants that are around that they will continue to be prosperous in their growth! Now I will also say that I used to be one of those people that thought, "Oh give the plant it's water and light and it'll be all good.".. well, this is somewhat true. A lot of plants are extremely durable. But this is a time you can start learning more about your plants too. Some plants need acidic soil; like blueberries, azaleas, rhododendrons, and hydrangeas; while others do better in alkaline soil; which are most veggies, fruits, and flowers. Here is a great article called Acid or Alkaline? What pH means in gardenspeak that really puts it in a nice perspective! pH testers are available at many retailers. I picked mine up at a major retail chain for $7. My small point is that by better learning what your plants are needing; the more you provide to them, the more they will provide to you! :)

Since this is also a time of new beginnings, this can also be a time you can "clean" some karma. Take account of any injustices or misgivings you have done to family, friends, etc.. Write these down and through out the next few months until Beltane, seek to balance through apologies, paying back any past due loans, or any other injustices you can think of. When May comes along, you will burn the list in your Beltane fire celebrating the karmic "rights" you have accomplished! :) This is one reason for the picture I used.. My Name Is Earl was a GREAT show! I still try to catch re-runs when I can!

Because we are also celebrating the time of the sun bringing us more warmth, what better way to celebrate than to have a party. Bring the warmth of friendship into your home and create some lasting memories!! Besides, buying or making new clothes at this time is also a way to be celebrating.. see, you really do need that new dress for the party you're going to throw now!!

There are many ways to celebrate! If you need any help personalizing your spiritual path, feel free to send me a message at my email or facebook.

May you have a Blessed Ostara!
