Freebie Friday!! 3 Card Daily Tarot Journal Page

Well, I missed Tarotscopes this week. But I'm pretty sure I had announced that I wouldn't be posting them on Twitter or Facebook, since I had so much going on! Actually... we have a bid in on a house!!!!! So I'm SUPER excited that we might finally have our own home.. for good. Or at least for a couple years since they say the first house you buy won't be your last. But we're hoping that it is because it's absolutely PERFECT! We shall see! Either way, it'll happen if it's supposed to. Now... I at least wanted to get this out to everyone as well! A FREEBIE! This is another spread that I like to use daily to take a look at what the day will bring. And that's usually how I word my intention with the spread!

The first card is the focus on the day. If it is a Pentacle, maybe this would be business or home related. If it is Cups; emotional or relationships. Wands can be creativity or communication and Swords may be a challenge or resistance to change. The way you interpret your cards is up to you of course!

The second card is the way you emotionally handle the day and how you'll feel about the way the day progresses.

The last card is how the day unfolds in the physical; what and how to expect things to happen!

I made two variations for this as well. The first one allows for a card sticker to be pasted; stay posted as I'm in the process of making that available!! The second one allows for you to either paste a sticker or draw your own card in the spot! I've also made these pages in the same jpg, pdf, and docx formats for easy download! So, enjoy this new journal page! There'll be more on the way soon and hopefully when the site gets re-vamped I'll have a whole section devoted to downloads!

Saturn Turns Retrograde

Source: astronomylinks.com
Saturn turns retrograde today at 12:02 PM EST making it's way back through Scorpio until July 8th 2013 when it turns direct and starts moving forward again. Most of us are pretty familiar with hearing when Mercury goes retrograde.. the dreaded "communications are jumbled" or "expect electronics to break" comes up quite often. But what does it mean when Saturn goes in "reverse"?

Those that have planets close to 11 degrees within Scorpio, or within the other water signs of Cancer or Pisces or earthy ruling sign of Capricorn, are most likely to feel this energy a little stronger. Saturn is the responsible one. He puts things in check. When your Saturn return happens at around 28-30 years old, and then again at 57-60, you start taking stock at where you are in your life and what you've accomplished. When Saturn goes retrograde, it's a little bit of the same thing. Just on a smaller scale! While Mercury can go retrograde 3-4 times a year for about 3 weeks, Saturn only goes retrograde once a year or right around 378 days for a stretch of 138 days! This give you the time to weed out what's working and what's not!

Saturn rules Capricorn, but is currently in the sign of Scorpio. Capricorn is an Earth sign, while Scorpio is a Water sign. Think about it in this instance.. the Grand Canyon (Earth) was carved out from the Colorado River (Water) and its tributaries in millions of years. Even though it took time, it is a site to behold! And that is what Saturn reminds us of. Sticking to our commitments and knowing that when the effort is put in we'll be rewarded greatly with the end result! The sign that Saturn is in shows us where we need to be aware of our karma, the rules that we place on ourselves, and where we best learn from our experiences. Being in Scorpio  we may feel as though we've lost a sense of ourselves or that we're needing to give over our control and give into the chaos! Scorpio is an intense and sensual sign and we are able to delve deep within ourselves to get to the heart of what we are wanting in our life, but it is with complete and total honesty without needing to feel that we have to deny ourselves of true happiness! That is not to say we would be selfish, but we will realize that our desires are not solely based on the wants and needs of others but what we are able to create with our own free will! So if you've felt that you just couldn't do something because someone else might not understand why you would want to or you're worried about how you might be perceived; do it! Do it for yourself! Otherwise, you may end up with some resentment or kicking yourself later for not ever taking the chance. It reminds me of the quote; "Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards." by Soren Kierkegaard.

Of course this energy will affect everyone differently since not everyone's charts are the same! But while Saturn is taking it's time to make us take a look at things, let's remember that the choices we make in the present are what will make a change in our future! These choices can be something that directly effect something 5 minutes, 5 months, or 5 years from now! But as long as we keep trying and persevere, we will be rewarded for our efforts however little or great they may be!

I hope the next few months give you the tenacity you need to bring about some long standing stability and that you're able to learn from the lessons Saturn is able to teach! If you would like me to take a more in depth look at how Saturn and the other planets are affecting you, please send me a message at facebook or my email and I'll be glad to help!

Take care!

New Moon in Capricorn

Here we are blessed with MORE Capricorn energy!! Currently we have the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Pluto in Capricorn. And now with the New Moon of the New Year.. we can expect to have more accountability with the actions we take! The energy will be focus on the Capricorn/Cancer axis. Capricorn is the ruler of the 10th house and our career aspirations, social status, responsibility, and authority in our lives. Capricorn's ruling planet is Saturn, and Saturn reminds us to have patience and discipline with our determination!

The Moon's ruling sign is Cancer. Because Cancer is such an emotional sign, there can be a tendency to cling to the past, emotions may run deep as we try to figure out what will bring the depths of nurturing and security we're looking for. This New Moon with it's Capricorn/Cancer influence will help us take responsibility with our emotions and GET REAL with where we want our life's path to go! If you weren't able to make New Years Resolutions, this time would be PERFECT for bringing them to light!

Throughout the Moon's cycles, there is a death and rebirth happening. During the New Moon we let our instincts lead us. Being in Capricorn the focus will be on moving forward efficiently and letting go of emotions that are holding us back; reclaiming personal power and stepping into more leadership, and enjoying stable  friendships and relationships where everyone contributes equally. Those with a planet or angle at 22 degrees of Capricorn or Cancer, may feel the strength of the New Moon more directly. So let's take a look at how this might effect your sign!

Aries (March 21 - April 19)- This Moon activates your 10th House and you might feel a struggle to make yourself known or be concerned at how people view you. If you're looking for power, you need to realize it comes with responsibility! Don't feel as though you are entitled to authority. Finding a balance between your influence and why you seek it emotionally will be of importance. Be careful not to let it consume you thought! The ambition to succeed is there, be sure the reason you're working so hard is really what you want at the end result!

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)- This stabilizing Capricorn Moon finds itself in your 9th House of philosophy, personal freedom, and reaching out. This is not a time to be limiting of yourself or condescending, you'll need to keep an open mind. With Saturn in your 7th house of relationships, you could be ready to take things in a new direction. You would do best to trust your actions are done with the best intentions, even if others might not accept your decision. Your emotional fulfillment will be directly related to the changes you implement at this time.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)- As this Moon finds itself in your 8th House, your house of shared resources, and transformation; you may experience this energy in many ways over the next month! And with your ruling planet Mercury also being there; your thought process and connections with others may be reborn. You feel things are at a turning point and you're ready to start doing things that are necessary to set you straight! You are usually one that is honest and don't hold back what's on your mind. Stand true with what you feel and believe!

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)- Relationships and career will be a MAJOR focus for you with the Moon in your 7th house of commitments and business partnerships. You could be looking at things in a new light, although maybe a little more realistically! Your emotional nature has you wanting to try things in a different way and taking more responsibility with what you're feeling and WHY you're feeling it. If work has been a struggle, try approaching it more creatively so that it feels more like an investment in yourself! Now is the time to bring about a consciously directed growth within yourself and with the work you put out in the world!

Leo (July 23 - August 22)- During this New Moon, it'll hit your 6th house of health and daily routines. If things have been in a slump, it's time to get yourself back on track! Maybe that workout has been put off or your resolution to give something up has been tough. Take this energy and put it to good use!! Try to find the focus you need as the Sun finishes out it's time in Capricorn as well. If you've had any health problems, now would be the time to address them. Establishing a routine for a healthy body and mind can be beneficial!

Virgo (August 23 - September 22)- This New Moon finds itself landing in your 5th House, house of creativity, children and hobbies. There may end up being an emotional "block" that comes about, but it's more about the lesson that there's a time for play and a time when work needs to be done! This may further be enhanced by your ruling planet Mercury being here as well. Try not to over think things too much. If you have children, take time to play games with them that you enjoyed.. or if your older, there's nothing wrong with a couple of beers for an adult game night either!

Libra (September 23 - October 22)- You can expect this New Moon in your 4th house to be bringing focus to your home and family. Events from the past may unexpectedly have you thinking of how it affects you in the present. If there has been strained relations within your family, now is the time to address them. Your appreciation for family is more easily shown. You might also find yourself wanting to tackle home projects that you've put off to make your home more how you've wanted it to be or if relocation has been on your mind, this may be the start of that action!

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)- You may feel a strong drive to achieve what you've been looking for through intellect as the Moon moves through your 3rd House of communication and thought. This will be a time to expand your ideas! Important conversations will allow you to take responsibility for your choices in the future, just make sure to take others opinions into consideration. If you have a special talent, you might find satisfaction in teaching others your skill. Since this is also a time of finding stability, establishing or re-establishing a meditation routine may prove beneficial!

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)- Finances will focus in heavily with the New Moon in your 2nd House of income and self-worth. It might be tough to realize what's serving it's purpose for you and what's expendable! You may be living beyond your means or you could start to question your understanding of security. Especially as your ruling planet Jupiter is in your 7th house of business associates! A change may be necessary, but taking the leap of faith might just be what it takes to have you see what you're really living for! If you need to work on yourself, now is the time to do it!

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)- This is YOUR New Moon! If you've held yourself back due to fear of not succeeding, it's time to let go of that fear! Being in your 1st House of your personality and approach, you will decide your capabilities. Don't get in your own way! You have strong recuperative abilities that let you bounce back from any struggle that's been happening. Just be careful of impatience and compulsiveness. Your ruling planet Saturn is in your 11th house of hopes and dreams and you'll be able to take this time to really get things in order to bring about the change you've been wanting to achieve!

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)- With the Moon in your 12th House of enlightenment you may need to look inward. Don't lose faith in your goals, but you might be surprised if you shift your focus from recognition for your actions to feeling fulfilled by the service you're providing. With your modern ruling planet Uranus in your 3rd house of thought it's time to listen to your inner voice, rely on your intuition and take time for some self contemplation. Your traditional ruler of Saturn is in your 10th house so you will be able to evaluate things honestly and acknowledge your faults AND your virtues!

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)- This Capricorn Moon finds itself in your 11th House, the house of groups and friendships. You may find this energy as being restricted or be faced with pressure from others. It could be the time to step outside of yourself or your comfort zone for a change. You may be the one that needs to take the lead in organizing a group experience if you want to spread your humanitarianism. The 11th house is also one of hopes and dreams. Use this time to find your inspiration and harness the energy to realize your deepest passions!

Usually when I do my Full Moon posts I include a spell, but while I was on facebook earlier today I noticed that Llewellyn Worldwide had posted a great spell for today!! So I'd definitely like to share that here, Spell For Beginning a Project!

I hope the New Moon treats you well and helps open up experiences that will help us all along with more stability on our path this next month! If you have any questions regarding how the planets are affecting you personally, you can reach me at facebook or email!

Freebie Friday! Daily Tarot Journal Page

It's the weekend!! WOO HOO!! And what better way than to start it off with a freebie! I get a lot of questions about learning to read the Tarot and in the classes I teach, I require a journal to be kept. Actually I haven't found too many mentors that DON'T recommend keeping a journal when learning anything metaphysical! Journaling is good for a number of reasons! The main one being that you'll have your own thoughts and notes about the work you're doing. The second reason is the work itself! When you put more effort into something you're learning, the knowledge is retained more easily. The same can be said when exercising.. after doing the same move so many times, the muscles are trained in knowing how to move!

I'm offering up the most basic of journal pages; a daily tarot draw where you can record the date and time, deck used, your card keywords, feelings, interpretation, and evening reflection. There is a spot where you can either draw in the card you picked or you can scan and print a copy to attach! I didn't put any fancy graphics on it and left plenty of margin space if you'd like to modify it to go on pretty bordered paper or want to include your own doodles! I find it when you keep it simple, it's easier to take the time to keep with it! I'm including different formats so that you can either print out the page to add to a 3 ring binder or you can also save a digital format if you'd rather! When I started learning Tarot I'd had so many notebooks and even online journals with readings scribbled all throughout them and it was tough to find the cohesiveness in them! And I am forever trying to organize things to keep them as simple as possible in life! That's what makes this so much easier in that you can print out the page when you want or form it into a document that will be capable of searching! The purpose is just to get you going!! I'll be offering up some other pages as well to help bulk up your magickal journal or Book of Shadows, so definitely keep your eye out for those!

So in the meantime, feel free to snag this freebie!

You can also download the pdf or doc version! If you would like me to customize a journal page for you or you have any Tarot questions or would even like a reading; feel free to send me a message at facebook or at my email!

Have a fabulous weekend!

30 Days To Change

When I first had the idea for this post it was mostly based off of my post 30 Days To Finding Love. That and I've been watching the show 30 Days on Netflix! And then today while I was outside I had a volunteer come up to the house to see if I wanted to receive my ballot in the mail, which I already have sent in my info to receive it! So, on that note... PLEASE VOTE! If you need to register to vote, it needs done ASAP as most states require you to register 30 days before the election. Current election countdown: 37 days!! I gotta be honest.. I've been able to vote for the last 4 elections, but when you're young it's not really something you think is all that important and the last election was the first I took part in... and let me say, it was TRULY empowering! So get out there and vote because your opinion matters! And it doesn't matter if our opinions are different, everyone is entitled to make their own decisions. Which is what is really being shown on the show 30 Days! Brief summary; take one person who has an opinion and see if they can live with their opposition for 30 days. It really is VERY eye opening with some of the situations people are put in. Especially the episode where a man had lost his job being outsourced to India. If you can catch the series, definitely give it a look!

Now obviously this post isn't going to be like my other one, but hey that's OK! Today's the Full Moon and lemme tell you, it seems like EVERYONE is really being affected by it's transforming energy! I know I am and I can't wait to see what it brings about! And really it doesn't take 30 days to make a change... changes come about by consciously making a choice moment by moment! But within 30 days, or a moon cycle if you want to look at it that way, you really can bring about a more cohesive routine into your life! Routines and schedules are great! Everything in nature is routine. Heck, not to bring up 30 Days again, but the episode where he lived on the Native American reservation he was expected to wake up every morning for a run to greet the Sun! And in some ways there are routines that we have come to live with that we might not always enjoy; e.g. WORK! Lots of people are dissatisfied in their J.O.B.s (Just Over Broke). But there are those routines that we are able to create for ourselves that can bring about the change that we want for ourselves whether it be a better income, relationship, physique, or even state of mind!

So for 30 days, starting on October 1st.. let's all keep a journal (mine'll just be a notebook or maybe I'll post some to facebook too!) and every day until October 31st when with Samhain or Halloween and the Turn of the Wheel, see what we can manifest for ourselves! Write down at least one goal - go ahead and elaborate your ideas on how you would achieve this if you want. Be able to really solidify your plan within your mind and see yourself achieving success! Also write down at least one thing you are grateful for! It's important to reflect on the good things that are there in life and it makes it much more appreciative when success comes about.. and keeps you a little grounded! I would definitely like to see what you can create, so please feel free to send me an email or message at facebook!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! (and don't forget to register to vote this coming week if you're not registerd!)

What You Do, You Be! Do-be-do-be-do!

"If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude." ~Maya Angelou

"Things do not change; we change." ~Henry David Thoreau

"Courage is being afraid but going on anyhow." ~Dan Rather

I was thinking to myself earlier, this seems to happen on occasion! ;) And if you've read my earlier posts Minding Your Thoughts or Minding Your Words, you'll see this one follows along the same lines! Anyways.. It's sometimes easy for us to get caught up in the monotonous feelings that can be there. I mean, sure.. who doesn't want to be happy all the time for the most part?! And usually we're pretty happy with the way life is going, but then there's always something that gives us a little "what if"? What if I decided to quit my job and pursue my hobby as a career? What if I took the jump of singing in front of people? But if you don't take the chance, you would never know the opportunity. Because the opportunity is there... they'll always come around. But what you do, is what you'll be...

And this works in a lot of ways! It's the same with what you say. If you're always complaining and it's coming out of your mouth; it's coming out, because you've already thought it, it's been processed. Uh-oh. And now you're feeling like you've got a big 'ol F! So then you're grumpy throughout the day. It's what you're doing is what is going to determine what you'll BE doing while you continue down the path. What you say is what you think and what you think is what you'll do and what you do is what you'll be... see the cycle? Too many times we stand in our own way! It is easy to make excuses for why we do this as we'll rationalize it out to where it becomes acceptable to what we think and feel. But then after a while we are upset at ourselves for letting the time pass by! There needs to still be the understanding and acceptance that things happen for a reason.. whether or not we decide to take that leap. But the opportunities that present themselves are there for the taking. It is only up to us to make the decision on what we want to DO, for what the future will BE!

Here is a great meditation to help with mental clarity and allowing for new experiences!

Items Needed; 1 blue candle, 1 orange candle, 1 white candle.. place in a triangle with the white candle at top, blue to the left side and orange to the right.

If possible, make an essential oil blend with the following; 4 drops of Lemongrass, 2 drops of Bay, 1 drop of Basil, 1 drop Ginger, 1 drop of Nutmeg; anoint your third eye before beginning meditation.

Begin by sitting and gazing at the candle light. Watch as the candle flames dance and flicker. See the energy within the flame as golden energy as each day begins the blazing sun crests the horizon. Feel how that energy is a new beginning and eternal as it is there for you to take at any time, every day. Either continue to sit upright or lie down in a comfortable position. Take a few deep breaths in and let them out and begin to steady your breath. As you begin to slip into a light meditative state, let yourself feel light and airy... visualize yourself laying on a BIG, WHITE, FLUFFY cloud.. feel how soft and relaxing and carefree it has you feeling. Sail through the sky and enjoy the relaxation it brings. When you are ready, feel the cloud bring you to a clearing on the top of a mountain. There is a lush meadow filled with many wildflowers. Step off the cloud and walk through the meadow to a giant tree. The only tree that you can see. Feel it's strength in the adversity of being on this mountain by it's lonesome. You notice there is a desk with a journal on it under the tree. You see this journal containing thoughts on situations you've wondered about being different. As you sit reading though them, you realize that some are things you no longer wanting to worry about.. mark in the journal underneath the entry how you are done worrying of this and move on to the next. There will be some you won't be able to go through at this time and that is ok. Then you will notice the blank pages that are still there. Now is the time to journal what you are feeling of your "WHAT IF"... After you are done, re-read the journal entries you may want to revisit and also your WHAT IF entry. Close the journal knowing you are going to work on what it is you want to be so as not to have that feeling you didn't try. Climb back on the cloud and let it take you through the sky and back to the beginning of where you first found it. Let your body adjust to coming more into the physical. And slowly open your eyes.

When you come out of this meditation you should feel relaxed, but SUPER motivated and released of any failing negative feelings!! :)

If you have any questions on how you can connect with your soul's purpose, you can send me a message at my email or at facebook and feel free to leave comments as well!

Namaste!

Where'd your posts go?

Like I said.. it was a while between posting my last blog. I felt my blog had started lacking a lot of structure as well. That is why I pulled my posts. I will be sorting through the ones that actually are worthy of being posted and leave out the junk. I'm startin to think that maybe sometimes less, really can be more. :)

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
