Full Moon in Leo ~ Snow Moon

Frozen_Elsa_Snow_Queen
Elsa from Frozen by SnowBite
What a fantastic night Valentine's Day will be with the sultry Leo Full Moon illuminating this romantic evening! Even for those without a partner the Snow Moon shows that gratitude for what IS, is what's important. Especially as earlier in the day the Moon makes a square to Saturn in Scorpio making us dig deep at our core level! I don't know about you guys, but my daughter is in LOVE with Frozen. I do have to say, it was a rather refreshing Disney movie for a change! And if you've seen the movie, you could see some similarities with what'll be happening with this Moon!

The fiery Leo Full Moon burns with an intensity! But with Mercury retrograde happening right now as of the 6th, you might be feeling a need to hold back.. But you also know you need to Let It Go! Maybe just not yet! Or if you do manage to break through, with the Aquarius influence you probably feel that you're doing it for the greater good! Another thing with this month is there is no New Moon!! Think about it as a snowstorm.. You get the advisory notice, everyone runs to the store and then sits and waits for what might or might not be a blizzard! LOL!

The New Moon on March 1st in the last sign of Pisces bringing the beginning to the end as the next New Moon in the 1st sign of Aries occurs at the end of the month on the 30th! So while this Full Moon might bring about some drama.. stand strong and proud! And be ready to get more of what you want! Leo energy can be a little selfish, but that's ok.. sometimes we need that!

But if you're needing a little self love for yourself and want to bring about some strength and determination back.. try this!

✪ Spell for Self-Empowerment ✪
Items Needed: This is somewhat up to you.. this can be done simply with meditation. But you might want to use a pink or white candle if you'd like to draw more of a focus and a piece of paper and a pencil if you want to put a little more energy into things too! If you'd like to enchant an item you could choose a ring or necklace of blue lace agate or rose quartz, or any other stone with properties you'd like to draw upon!

*Like with any working, you might want to take a bath and place some salt in it as well to draw out any negativity, or a shower and visualize the water bathing you in white light!

Start by lighting your candle. Simply gaze at it's flame and feel the energy that emits from the heat. Carry that feeling as you think of your passions, what you fight and stand for. Now, think also of the things that seem to hold you back and how this can have you feeling both "frozen" and also enraged. Bring light to the struggles!

Take this energy and write down what you feel is holding you back! Put any insecurities down. Anything that you feel isn't going to be of any help, but that you have to deal with. It's time to let it go!!!

After you're done, take a second to look at your list.. and then say "NO MORE!" and tear it to shreds!!!! Then throw it up into the air and make it snow! (Be careful none catches on fire from your candle if you've used one!)

If you're putting your energy into an item, hold it in your hand now and then say;

"I am divinely perfect with love bursting from my soul,
Courageous and determined to reach my goal.
Shedding away my fears of yesterday,
I step into my being and embrace the confidence that's here to stay!"

Put your item on and begin to clean up your "snow". If you can dispose of it outside the house, the better. You can leave your candle to burn if you'd like to have some more confidence flowing, or you can snuff it and burn it again later.

I hope this Full Moon brings you closer to your dreams and strengthens you belief in yourself!! And if you would like some help personalizing your own energy work or if you'd like me to take a look at what you can expect over the next moon cycle, take a look at my services page or send me a message at my email or facebook and I’d be happy to assist you!

Celebrate Beltane ~ Time to Revitalize!

Beltane Fire Dancers
If you saw my last post about Beltane, you'll know it's one of my favorite holidays!! And you might be thinking, "Wait a sec, wasn't Beltane on May 1st?". Actually, no. While that is May Day, Beltane technically doesn't happen until the Sun reaches 15 degrees Taurus which happens on May 5th.. and is also Cinco De Mayo! Talk about a good day to party!!!! And that's one of the main things with Beltane, it really is a time to come together for some fun! If you do a google search and look at the images, you'll definitely see some fun happening; though if you are offended with nudity, you might want to make sure you have a safe search in place!!!

Beltane is opposite of Samhain (Halloween) so while we in the Northern Hemisphere are reveling in the coming summer months, those in the Southern Hemisphere are getting ready to settle into the coming Winter. At Samhain the veil to the other side is thin and respect is given to the deceased, with Beltane the veil to the faery world is thin and their playful energy reminds us not to take things so seriously! Which is on reason why Beltane gives way to some hedonistic and pleasurable activities! The May Pole is traditionally seen as a phallic symbol to bring about fertility, but fertility does not limit itself to just creating life and can also be used for increasing creativity and prosperity!

Now, I know not everyone is Pagan or Wiccan and therefore won't be partaking in an actual ritual in the same ways. But allowing yourself to enjoy the energy that comes from this time can come in more conventional ways! Take some time to enjoy a bonfire with family and friends and discuss what you have planned to "create" in the next coming months. If you're a crafter, you can set up a day for scrapbooking, soap or candle making, or any other projects that you could share with others! JUST HAVE FUN!!

But, if you would like to celebrate Beltane in a more magickal way, here is a VERY simple Beltane Celebration from Llewellyn's website.

I usually like to include something in my sabbat posts from my own personal Book of Shadows, and I took some great thought about what I wanted to focus on after looking at where things are at with the Moon's energy. And I gotta say, I thought I might need to maybe take a different approach to things. Especially after a lot of the readings I've been having lately seem to have a different focus to them.

Not everyone is going to be in a blissfully happy relationship at this time... in fact, there might need to be some healing that needs to be done. Beltane is also a time of health and healing. It doesn't necessarily need to be physical; it can span mentally, emotionally, or even spiritually. Because we are in a waning phase, it's not the time to do magick to bring something to us. It's better to "shed" at this time. And because the Moon will be in Pisces for a good part of the day until it moves into Aries, the energy will be focused more in compassion and healing! Because this is somewhat candle related, you might want to take a look at my post about Manifesting with Candle Magick to put some extra energy into things! So, here's a spell to help mend a broken heart.

✪ Spell to Heal a Broken Heart ✪
Items Needed: Some paper and a pen; a small, heat-proof cauldron, bowl, or pot (you'll be burning paper!!); a white candle; a bowl of water (water from a natural spring, blessed water, or naturally collected rainwater is ideal; but if those aren't available, just add a teaspoon of salt to your tap water to counterbalance the chemicals); and at least one of the following flowers; carnation, daisy, geranium, and/or rose . For the tea you will be making you need hot water; an apple; a cinnamon stick if possible; at least one of these healing herbs; bay, lemon balm, peppermint, thyme, and/or cinnamon if you didn't have the stick available, and some honey if you'd like to flavor it. You may want to sit and hold your herbs, flowers, pen, and paper in your hands and/or bless your water that will be used for a few moments to infuse the items with your energy and intention!!

To set up your work space: Put the unlit white candle, to the left. Set the bowl of water on the right and snip the flower heads off the stems and place them in the water. Set your paper burning pot in the center, but towards the back so the three items create a triangle. Place the paper and pen in front of you.

To make your healing tea: Bring water to a boil and toss in 1/4 apple, 1 cinnamon stick and a pinch of your healing herbs. Let it sit for a moment, pour into your mug and add the honey if needed.

Start the spell by lighting the candle. Think about the things that are making you upset, and begin writing what's in your heart. Don't hold back! Get out the anger, pain, and frustration and whatever comes up. This can be highly emotionally cleansing, so if you start to cry, let it all out!! Use as much paper as you need until nothing more comes about. You can just write, make a letter or letters to someone, make a list, use random words/feelings and even drawing and doodling, of whatever is bothering you!

When you feel you have put everything down, fold up the paper and hold it in the candle flame. Once it is burning throw it into the heat-proof pot or cauldron. Watch it burn, and feel the release of the negative emotions that are making things stressful and hard to heal and move on from!

Sit and breathe a while, maybe even listen to some light meditative and uplifting music. You should feel somewhat drained from this purging of negativity.

Place your hands in the bowl of water. Allow the soothing energy to come into you. Cleanse your hands from the negative emotions that were being written down and wipe your face with the water to give you a feeling of being refreshed.

Now drink your tea and feel yourself being filled with healing and peaceful energy. Take a few more deep breaths and KNOW it is done.

Dispose the paper ashes in the dirt somewhere, the further from your house, the better! Pour the flower water on top of it and ask for the healing to happen for those involved as well.

You should now be feeling relieved!! Take it easy for the rest of the day or go enjoy some splurging on yourself!!

I hope this holiday blesses you with a positive transformation! And if you would like me to personalize some spellwork for you or you would like to have a healing session, take a look at my services page or send me a message at my email or facebook and I'd be happy to assist you!

Many Blessings!!

Being Wrong.. Is Alright!

After I finished my readings last night and wanted to relax, I decided to zone into some TED videos and stumbled upon this little gem. And honestly it's been a while since I blogged something other than Tarotscopes so I was glad to have gotten some more inspiration for this blog!

Now you may be saying "Uh oh, Andi was wrong about something.", which I haven't been lately... but it DOES happen on occasion! In fact, after watching this video I had that feeling of "hmmmm, I've been pretty dead on with things lately, hope I don't stumble soon!". And then I had to backup for a minute. Because that's the whole theme of this video!!! That it's OK to be wrong. It's what makes us human. And that's exactly my point. I am human just like everyone else. I'm going to be wrong sometimes. And like the video says; we've become accustomed to demanding nothing but the best in our lives... for complete perfection, and if we end up with anything less, than somehow we have failed or done things wrong.

But that's not the case! We can strive for the best that we want to achieve, but that doesn't necessarily mean we'll reach it for any number of reasons. We can be too caught up in how we perceive things, and by "we" I mean me or you. The WE should be more of an I. Because your perception of one situation will be different that the perception of someone else. What may be absolutely devastating to you could be a minor speed bump to someone else. A lot of the time I will be asked "Should I move on?". And my answer is always the same.. "I can't tell you to move on. That is going to be your choice in how and what you can deal with in the situation.". Everyone has different levels of how they are going to handle things. Everyone has different emotions and reactions. That's to say that my "wrong" could be someone else's "right".

We've become too hard on ourselves and on others. When people don't meet our expectations (or demands!) we feel they are wrong. We feel we've been wrong to trust them!! But it doesn't mean that we or they have been wrong at all! Just that our perception wasn't what we were expecting! So that just means that we have to readjust and keep moving forward. Because life doesn't stop just because something has created a roadblock, it just means there's been a detour. It doesn't mean things are right or wrong. It just means IT JUST IS.

Of course, this was just my perception and yours may be different! So I encourage you to watch the video, it's a little under 18 minutes so it won't take much time! And please leave me some comments about what you think!

Have an awesome day!
Andi

No Target, it's NOT ok to judge!

The last few days I've noticed the Universe giving me a couple little signals... a few work mates and friends first were discussing some words that we have banned. Words that came up included the "f" word, and no not f*ck.. which I have NO problems tossing around at times! Also, the "n" word; which I really can not stand and the "r" word, that I've had problems at times with it rolling off my tongue but have definitely made a conscious effort to not use it considering I have a special needs kid!

So imagine my surprise today when I was doing some shopping online today at Target and was told "It's ok to judge". I took a quick screenshot of it! I sat for a moment just thinking about it. And then I started to get mad! And not because I don't think that there shouldn't be some sort of measurable standards at times. I mean c'mon The Biggest Loser obviously is measuring a health standard and they are being "judged", just as many other reality tv shows like Dancing with the Stars or American Idol! But there's a time and place for judgments to be made. Unfortunately it seems like people make too many judgments without any justification! It's bad enough that we make judgments about ourselves; not pretty enough or smart enough or rich enough. But when we start to put these judgments on others, we're only projecting our own insecurities.

I happened to catch Dr. Phil today which was all about bullying. October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month. It was very much about passing judgments and the bullies own insecurities! There was also a great organization featured as well; Stomp Out Bullying. And while I didn't agree with everything that was being said, the main idea was what was important. There's no reason to judge anyone, EVER! Because *hopefully* everyone is doing the best that they can. So Target, how about instead of "it's ok to judge" we go with "it's about choice".  But oh wait, wasn't there some problem about gay equality with Target?!? Maybe we'll save that for another post! ;)

So, as in my other posts Minding Your Words and Minding Your Thoughts it's just important to remember that we're all in this together and the interactions we bring to one another are equally needed as much as the progress we make on ourselves!

What You Do, You Be! Do-be-do-be-do!

"If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude." ~Maya Angelou

"Things do not change; we change." ~Henry David Thoreau

"Courage is being afraid but going on anyhow." ~Dan Rather

I was thinking to myself earlier, this seems to happen on occasion! ;) And if you've read my earlier posts Minding Your Thoughts or Minding Your Words, you'll see this one follows along the same lines! Anyways.. It's sometimes easy for us to get caught up in the monotonous feelings that can be there. I mean, sure.. who doesn't want to be happy all the time for the most part?! And usually we're pretty happy with the way life is going, but then there's always something that gives us a little "what if"? What if I decided to quit my job and pursue my hobby as a career? What if I took the jump of singing in front of people? But if you don't take the chance, you would never know the opportunity. Because the opportunity is there... they'll always come around. But what you do, is what you'll be...

And this works in a lot of ways! It's the same with what you say. If you're always complaining and it's coming out of your mouth; it's coming out, because you've already thought it, it's been processed. Uh-oh. And now you're feeling like you've got a big 'ol F! So then you're grumpy throughout the day. It's what you're doing is what is going to determine what you'll BE doing while you continue down the path. What you say is what you think and what you think is what you'll do and what you do is what you'll be... see the cycle? Too many times we stand in our own way! It is easy to make excuses for why we do this as we'll rationalize it out to where it becomes acceptable to what we think and feel. But then after a while we are upset at ourselves for letting the time pass by! There needs to still be the understanding and acceptance that things happen for a reason.. whether or not we decide to take that leap. But the opportunities that present themselves are there for the taking. It is only up to us to make the decision on what we want to DO, for what the future will BE!

Here is a great meditation to help with mental clarity and allowing for new experiences!

Items Needed; 1 blue candle, 1 orange candle, 1 white candle.. place in a triangle with the white candle at top, blue to the left side and orange to the right.

If possible, make an essential oil blend with the following; 4 drops of Lemongrass, 2 drops of Bay, 1 drop of Basil, 1 drop Ginger, 1 drop of Nutmeg; anoint your third eye before beginning meditation.

Begin by sitting and gazing at the candle light. Watch as the candle flames dance and flicker. See the energy within the flame as golden energy as each day begins the blazing sun crests the horizon. Feel how that energy is a new beginning and eternal as it is there for you to take at any time, every day. Either continue to sit upright or lie down in a comfortable position. Take a few deep breaths in and let them out and begin to steady your breath. As you begin to slip into a light meditative state, let yourself feel light and airy... visualize yourself laying on a BIG, WHITE, FLUFFY cloud.. feel how soft and relaxing and carefree it has you feeling. Sail through the sky and enjoy the relaxation it brings. When you are ready, feel the cloud bring you to a clearing on the top of a mountain. There is a lush meadow filled with many wildflowers. Step off the cloud and walk through the meadow to a giant tree. The only tree that you can see. Feel it's strength in the adversity of being on this mountain by it's lonesome. You notice there is a desk with a journal on it under the tree. You see this journal containing thoughts on situations you've wondered about being different. As you sit reading though them, you realize that some are things you no longer wanting to worry about.. mark in the journal underneath the entry how you are done worrying of this and move on to the next. There will be some you won't be able to go through at this time and that is ok. Then you will notice the blank pages that are still there. Now is the time to journal what you are feeling of your "WHAT IF"... After you are done, re-read the journal entries you may want to revisit and also your WHAT IF entry. Close the journal knowing you are going to work on what it is you want to be so as not to have that feeling you didn't try. Climb back on the cloud and let it take you through the sky and back to the beginning of where you first found it. Let your body adjust to coming more into the physical. And slowly open your eyes.

When you come out of this meditation you should feel relaxed, but SUPER motivated and released of any failing negative feelings!! :)

If you have any questions on how you can connect with your soul's purpose, you can send me a message at my email or at facebook and feel free to leave comments as well!

Black & White: It's all about intention!

I had a great experience on Chance's radio show yesterday!! But I did want to touch on a few things real quick since we did have a limited amount of time. Chance had asked me about "white" magick vs. "black" magick, and I had focused more on how I see the difference.. when really I could of simplified it as this... There is NO black or white magick in all truth. The energy is just there and doesn't really "pick sides"! It is really in the intention of the person doing the working!! Now, here's a way to think of it as well... In art, black is the absence of all visible light, while white is filled with the complete spectrum. And if we didn't have black; we wouldn't have shadows, defining lines, etc.. And the same goes for white as it is the highlights! Black is just the absence of light, but that doesn't mean that there isn't anything there; while with white, EVERYTHING is there and very well could "overshadow" your main cause. So, we really do need both!

As I said in the show, we are souls in a physical body living a human experience. And we very well could say "I'm not going to get angry", but we would need to also see what the cost of that expression may bring us to as well. Sometimes you DO need to get angry! Anger is directly related to a PASSIONATE response. You need to have that passion in order to reach your goals or you become apathetic! Now, while I do resonate more as a Pagan, rather than a Wiccan. I do believe Wicca is a very good religion for some that are reclaiming a part of themself that they may have lost due to some oppression they may have faced. It definitely was that way for me! But as I walked the path, I also realized I WAS suppressing a very needed part of my life as well and that is why I no longer felt I would call myself Wiccan. ALL Wiccan's are Pagan, but not all Pagan's are Wiccan, and all Witches are not necessarily Pagan either.. I've met PLENTY of Christian Witches!! So now I want to go over some of the "rules".

The main difference between Paganism and Wicca is that Wiccan's have the Rede and Law of Three. The short version of the Rede is simply; "An ye harm none, do what ye will." Here is the extended version of the Wiccan Rede.

Bide ye the Wiccan laws ye must, in perfect love and perfect trust.
Ye must live and let live, fairly take and fairly give.

Cast the Circle thrice about, to keep unwelcome spirits out.
To bind the spell well every time, let the spell be spoken in rhyme.

Soft of eye and light of touch, speak ye little and listen much.
Deosil go by waxing moon, chanting out the Wiccan runes.
Widddershins go by waning moon, chanting out the baneful tune.

When the Lady's moon is new, kiss the hand of Her times two.
When the moon rides at Her peak, then the heart's desire seek.

Heed the North wind's mighty gale, lock the door and trim the sail.
When the wind comes from the South, love will kiss thee on the mouth.
When the Moor wind blows from the West, departed spirits have no rest.
When the wind blows from the East, expect the new and set the feast.

Nine woods in the cauldron go, burn them quick and burn them slow.
Elder be the Lady's tree, burn it not or cursed ye'll be.

When the wheel begins to turn, let the Beltane fires burn.
When the wheel has turned to Yule, light the log and the Horned One rules.

Heed ye flower, bush and tree, by the Lady, Blessed be.
Where the rippling waters go, cast a stone, the truth to know.

When ye have and hold a need, hearken not to other's greed.
With a fool no seasons spend, or be counted as his friend.

Merry meet and merry part, bright the cheeks and warm the heart.
Mind the Threefold Law ye should, three times bad and three times good.

When misfortune is enow, wear the blue star on your brow.
True in love ye must ever be, lest ye love be false to thee.

These words the Wiccan Rede fulfill,: An ye harm none, do what ye will.

Now the Law of Three is simply that what you send out, you get back 3 times! So send out good, get good back 3 times as good! This is one I kinda never understood.. mostly because I'm a science nerd so I never really figured there was some sort of law that would change this other than what you send out, you get back.. plain and simple. This is seen in Newton's Laws! Law 1 states, "Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it." So as I said, magick is magick.. it doesn't subscribe to "white" or "black" until the intent is applied! Law 3 states, "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." Nowhere does it say that the action or reaction becomes amplified! I then felt that the saying of "All that is, is." was also a very good way to look at things in this way. So now we come to some more rules or laws..

Spiritual Laws of the Craft
1. No truth is absolute.
2. The Universe consists of opposites.
3. For every action there is a reaction.
4. We are all one, we are all connected.
5. The ultimate act of spirituality is creation through love manifesting harmony.
6. What we give to spirit will return to us.
7. We must never close our mind to knowledge.
8. A circle is a holy place, negativity is not acceptable.
9. The body of the witch is used to channel and focus energy,
tools are merely focusing aids.
10. Use common sense, to not teach the mysteries to fools.
11. Witches are not to give the identities of other witches as
discrimination still haunts the earth.
12. Acknowledge the presence of the Gods in your daily life through word and deed.
13. The Earth is a living being; take care how you live on your host.

The Practical Laws of the Craft
1. Never use a system you do not understand.
2. Do not set a price on magickal work (other than supplies and time/energy used).
3. Never use your magickal skills to show off.
4. Learn to banish first, as binding may be overkill.
5. Know that what is created it thought manifests in reality.
6. Never lie to yourself.
7. Injuries, sickness often result from low self-esteem, RARELY from negative magick.
8. Power grows in relation to wisdom.
9. Take great caution in using magick for negative purposes.
10. Never do less than your best.
11. Do not give into the negative words of others about your faith or lifestyle.
12. Witches are not to give the identities of other Witches as discrimination still haunts the Earth.
13. Do not lend out your Magickal Record.
14. Property owned should be guarded mundanely and spiritually.
15. Do not seek revenge; the Gods and laws of karma will punish sufficiently.
16. Respect the science of magick, but it is not sacred.
17. Sex is not to be used for ritual unless between consenting, mature adults.
It is NEVER used in teaching.
18. Teaching is not done for money, and must be in a safe environment,
with equal rights for both student and teacher.

13 Goals of a Witch
1. Know yourself.
2. Know your Craft.
3. Learn.
4. Apply knowledge with wisdom.
5. Achieve balance.
6. Keep your words in good order.
7. Keep your thoughts in good order, thoughts are things.
8. Celebrate life.
9. Attune with the cycles of the Earth.
10. Breathe and eat correctly.
11. Exercise the body.
12. Meditate, exercise the mind.
13. Honor the Gods and the Old Ways.

As you can see, many of these rules and laws are very much COMMON SENSE! And still contains the old adage of "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!". Witches, Wiccan's and Pagan's are your neighbors, your friends, and your family! I really love the part in Practical Magic where the one aunt tells the ladies involved in their circle that "There's a little Witch in all of us!".

If you would like to explore Earth based spirituality with me, I will soon be offering a class!! Please send me a message at facebook or my email if you would like to be placed on the class list or receive more info!! I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend and stop back by soon for Tarotscopes!

Many Blessings!

What's Your Bloody Type?!?

You might look at the title and then this picture and go WHHHAAAT?! But really, I'm going to discuss something that everyone has and could be exceptionally important at times as well. BLOOD! After the last episode of True Blood, I got interested in looking up some things about blood types, but thankfully I have Japanese relatives and have quite a bit of information on this topic! Knowing your blood type is important if you travel, because heaven forbid there be an accident and a transfusion be needed and you are in an area where your blood type is scarce!

In the 1930's Takeji Furukawa set out to find a connection between personality traits being influenced by blood type. These days, approximately 90% of Japanese know their blood type and read their horoscopes by blood types rather than the traditional astrological signs! Blood typing has also been used for employers when interviewing and also in keeping office harmony, in matchmaking for potential love matches and even companies for marketing their products! Recently the books Eat Right 4 Your Type and Cook Right 4 Your Type have had many people wanting to make dietary changes that are directly related to their blood types! I highly recommend these books as I have found them to be very helpful with some of the problems related to dietary issues! BUT, we're here to talk about personalities! Now... if you don't know your blood type, the easiest way to find out is to donate blood! Not only will you be doing a VERY valuable service, but you will find your blood type out rather easily too! One thing to remember is there is no differential factor with the Rh type (positive/negative). So.. here we go with the blood types!

Type O:
Type O's tend to be loners OR leaders and are intuitive, focused, self-reliant and sometimes daring. They are initiators, although they don't always finish what they start! They handle stress better than the other blood types and have a healthy, active nature. Creative and popular, they love to be the center of attention and appear very self confident.

Positive qualities: Ambitious, Trendsetter, Independent, Loyal, Athletic, Robust, Passionate and Self-confident.
Negative qualities: Arrogant, Vain, Jealous, Insensitive and Ruthless.

Famous O's: Oprah Winfrey, Stella McCartney, Ronald Reagan, Queen Elizabeth II, John Lennon, Paul Newman, Elvis Presley, Gerald Ford, Mikhail Gorbachev, Al Capone.

Compatibility: O is most compatible with O, and AB

Type A:
While outwardly calm, they have high standards that they often bottle up their anxiety in order to get along with others, they may hold in their emotions until they explode. They are capable of leadership positions, but they may not take them because the stress is too much to handle. In Japan many A's are in research facilities taking roles in discovering more about science, economics, manufacturing, etc. They are perfectionists to say the least!! Type A's are also the most artistic of the blood groups.

Positive qualities: Reserved, Cooperative, Patient, Sensitive, Clever, Responsible and Punctual.
Negative qualities: Obsessive, Stubborn, Conservative and Tense.

Famous A's: George H. W. Bush, O.J. Simpson, Britney Spears, Ringo Starr, Adolf Hitler, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Jet Li.

Compatibility: A is most compatible with A and AB

Type B:
Goal oriented and strong minded, type B's will start a task and see it through until completed, and completed well! Type B's are the individualists of the blood group categories and find their own way in life. These individuals tend to be balanced: thoughtful like A's, yet ambitious like O's. They are empathetic, easily understanding others' points of view, yet often hesitant to challenge or confront. Chameleon-like and flexible, they make good friends and are fiercely loyal.

Positive qualities: Creative, Passionate, Strong, Animal loving, Optimistic and Flexible.
Negative qualities: Wild, Unsociable, Critical, Indecisive, Unpredictable and Unforgiving.

Famous B's: Jack Nicholson, Luciano Pavarotti, Tom Selleck, Mia Farrow, Paul McCartney, Leonardo DiCaprio.

Compatibility: B is most compatible with B and AB

Type AB:
Type AB's are the split personalities of the blood groups! They can be both outgoing and shy, confident and timid, but they also tend to be very charming and popular. While responsible, too much responsibility will cause a problem. They don't sweat the small stuff, but once a problem hits they feel as though it is their own doing. Type AB's can be seen as spiritual and even at times a bit "flaky". They are trustworthy and like to help others. There is never a dull moment in a AB's life, so if you find one for a friend, consider yourself lucky! You'll definitely enjoy some exciting times together! Only about 2 - 5% of the population are blood type AB!

Positive qualities: Popular, Sociable, Cool and Controlled.
Negative qualities: Forgetful, Critical, Indecisive, Irresponsible and Self-centered.

Famous AB's: Barack Obama, John F. Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Mick Jagger, Thomas Edison, Jackie Chan.

Compatibility: AB is most compatible with AB, B, A and O, or basically everyone!!

PLEASE... if you can donate blood, DO IT!
Here is some brief information on blood donation from the American Red Cross website.

-Facts about blood needs
* Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood.
* More than 38,000 blood donations are needed every day.
* A total of 30 million blood components are transfused each year in the U.S. (2006).
* The average red blood cell transfusion is approximately 3 pints.
* The blood type most often requested by hospitals is Type O.
* The blood used in an emergency is already on the shelves before the event occurs.
* Sickle cell disease affects more than 80,000 people in the U.S., 98 percent of whom are African American. Sickle cell patients can require frequent blood transfusions throughout their lives.
* More than 1 million new people are diagnosed with cancer each year. Many of them will need blood, sometimes daily, during their chemotherapy treatment.
* A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood.

-Facts about blood supply
* The number of blood donations collected in the U.S. in a year: 16 million (2006).
* The number of blood donors in the U.S. in a year: 9.5 million (2006).
* The number of patients who receive blood in the U.S. in a year: 5 million (2006).
* Share of the U.S. population eligible to give blood: Less than 38 percent.
* Blood cannot be manufactured – it can only come from generous donors.
* Type O-negative blood (red cells) can be transfused to patients of all blood types. It is always in great demand and often in short supply.
* Type AB-positive plasma can be transfused to patients of all other blood types. AB plasma is also usually in short supply.

-Facts about the blood donation process
* Donating blood is a safe process. A sterile needle is used only once for each donor and then discarded.
* Blood donation is a simple four-step process: registration, medical history and mini-physical, donation and refreshments.
* Every blood donor is given a mini-physical, checking the donor's temperature, blood pressure, pulse and hemoglobin to ensure it is safe for the donor to give blood.
* The actual blood donation typically takes less than 10-12 minutes. The entire process, from the time you arrive to the time you leave, takes about an hour and 15 min.
* The average adult has about 10 pints of blood in his body. Roughly 1 pint is given during a donation.
* A healthy donor may donate red blood cells every 56 days, or double red cells every 112 days.
* A healthy donor may donate platelets as few as 7 days apart, but a maximum of 24 times a year.
* All donated blood is tested for HIV, hepatitis B and C, syphilis and other infectious diseases before it can be released to hospitals.
* Information you give to the American Red Cross during the donation process is confidential. It may not be released without your permission except as directed by law.

-Facts about blood and its components
* There are four types of transfusable products that can be derived from blood: red cells, platelets, plasma and cryoprecipitate. Typically, two or three of these are produced from a pint of donated whole blood – hence each donation can help save up to three lives.
* Donors can give either whole blood or specific blood components only. The process of donating specific blood components – red cells, plasma or platelets – is called apheresis.
* One transfusion dose of platelets can be obtained through one apheresis donation of platelets or by combining the platelets derived from five whole blood donations.
* Most donated red blood cells must be used within 42 days of collection.
* Donated platelets must be used within five days of collection – new donations are constantly needed.
* Plasma and cryoprecipitate are stored in frozen state and can be used for up to one year after collection.
* Healthy bone marrow makes a constant supply of red cells, plasma and platelets. The body will replenish the elements given during a blood donation – some in a matter of hours and others in a matter of weeks.

-Facts about donors
* The number one reason donors say they give blood is because they "want to help others."
* Two most common reasons cited by people who don't give blood are: "Never thought about it" and "I don't like needles."
* One donation can help save the lives of up to three people.
* If you began donating blood at age 17 and donated every 56 days until you reached 76, you would have donated 48 gallons of blood, potentially helping save more than 1,000 lives!
* Half of Red Cross donors male, and half are female.
* The American Red Cross accepts blood donations only from volunteer donors.
* Among Red Cross donors in a given year, 19 percent donate occasionally, 31 percent are first-time donors, and 50 percent are regular, loyal donors.
* Only 7 percent of people in the U.S. have O-negative blood type. O-negative blood type donors are universal donors as their blood can be given to people of all blood types.
* Type O-negative blood is needed in emergencies before the patient's blood type is known and with newborns who need blood.
* Forty-five percent of people in the U.S. have Type O (positive or negative) blood. This percentage is higher among Hispanics – 57 percent, and among African Americans – 51 percent.
* Only 3 percent of people in the U.S. have AB-positive blood type. AB-positive type blood donors are universal donors of plasma, which is often used in emergencies, for newborns and for patients requiring massive transfusions.

Working with Animal Spirit Guides

Working with your animal spirits or totems doesn't need to be tough! You probably are already, in some sort of capacity, connecting with your animal energies. These animal spirits aid us on our path of self discovery and teach us about life and the world as we perceive it! The life of a cheetah will not be the same as the life of a bumblebee!! But both are equally as important.

Animal spirits can often be revealed in our dreams, and also by meditation. At this time it is important to pay attention to any information the animal passes on. Also keeping in mind the scenario being presented as well and if or how it pertains to life situations. Animals are instinctive. So they will react to their situations very differently than humans!

You may want to start keeping a journal or devote a section in a notebook or your Book of Shadows (BOS) on your animal guides. You guides, for the most part, are with you for life and RARELY change. There are secondary guides that may come and go, but you have 9 primary animal totems that are a part of you from the beginning!

Things you will want to keep track of:

○ What sort of animal was it? Did it fly or swim? Does it have fur or scales?
○ Did the animal act naturally or directly with you? Did the animal interact with other animals or humans? Were the same types of animals interacting?
○ Were you in the animals natural environment or another?

You may also want to take a look at a few other ways animals impact you:

○ Favorite childhood and current pets. Animals you seem to naturally connect with.
○ Animals you do not like, negative associations you have with them. (ex. snakes are "slimy")
○ Any animals you seem to notice on a regular basis; what do you feel they are trying to
tell you, do they appear at certain times?

The 9 animal totems

The Eastern Guide:
This Animal guides you to your highest Spiritual challenges. Assists in your learning, ascension and illumination.

The Western Guide:
This Animal guides you to your inner being, your emotional self. Aids in opening 3rd eye and shows true path to goals.

The Southern Guide:
This Animal guides you with your trust and humility. Spiritually, Emotionally, Mentally, Physically & Financially will help keep you balanced when faced with aversion.

The Northern Guide:
This Animal guides your inner wisdom. Karmic right and wrong. Reminds you to be grateful and for the blessings you have daily.

The Guide Above:
This Animal teaches you to honor the Universe. The guardian of Dreams, also guides you to other dimensions.

The Guide Below:
This Animal guides you to be in touch with Mother Earth. Guidance with staying grounded and on your path.

The Guide Within:
This Animal guides you to manifest your desire and stay true to yourself. Creates with your experiences. Protector of your sacred space.

The Right and the Left Guide animals are always with you.
Some people already know who these animals are, or who at least one of them will be.

The Right Guide:
This Animal is your male/father side, the protector and instills courage, spirit and strength within you.

The Left Guide:
This Animal is your female/mother side and teaches you to take care of yourself and all others. Help and receive abundance. Emotional relationships and mothering.

Ask Andi Witchy Wednesday

I FINALLY received a question for Witchy Wednesday that I wanted to address on here.. It's one that I can relate to as well, so definitely seemed as though it was something that was coming through to me for a reason! So, on to the question!!

Hi Andi,
I wanted to ask you a quick question about meditating. I've been trying for months now to practice meditating so that I can do some astral projection. I don't think I'm any where near being able to project!!! My problem is that every time I try to start meditating, a few minutes later my nose is itching, then my leg, then my foot! It's just annoying, it breaks my concentration and then I have to start all over! :( How can I find any easier way to ease myself into the meditative state the first time??

Thanks for your help!
Donna

Ok Donna.. here goes. When those itches start happening.... SCRATCH THEM! ;) It didn't fail with me either. I remember I was in group meditation and was just really starting to get good and then all of a sudden I felt this tiny string in my sock rubbing against my toe. I tried ignoring it.. and then I started hearing everyone else kinda rustling around too. Then my eye popped open! And I immediately felt "great, I'm falling behind in the meditation!". Then all of a sudden our teacher says "STOP!! All of you are fighting things. Itch your itch, adjust your back, do what you have to do to get comfortable. The more you fight it the less you'll be focusing." Which is true.. your body is fighting that state of relaxation for whatever reason. Maybe you're just naturally someone who doesn't sit still for very long... does anyone these days?? So here's my quick advice steps..

  • Don't try to start your meditation until you've gotten past those itches. Take a couple minutes to focus on your breath and generally relax yourself. Adjust anything you need to to make sure you're comfortable.. If you're sitting upright, try laying down. Feet cold? Put on socks. Just make sure to address whatever it is that's causing the distraction.

  • Start at your toes.. curl them under and hold them tight for a moment, then let go and feel them slowly relax. Then move to your calves, flex and hold the muscles and let them go. Move to your thighs, then buttocks, and abdomen. After those muscle sets you should gently feel the next body parts relaxing on their own.. After your abdomen, you'll move to your shoulders, you should feel them drop and relax along with your arms. No need to flex the biceps! ;) Then move to your face; feel your mouth relax, cheeks, eyes, forehead and then scalp. By this time your body should be feeling GREAT!!

  • Focus again on your breath. If you want you can move into your own meditation. At this time I would go through and do a chakra cleansing and balancing before my meditation. But that is going to be another post at a later date! ;)

  • Just those few things have really been able to help out immensely in my meditations!! It's really tough once you get it in your mind you're doing it wrong. But it's just a natural reaction in your body, and once you train it to NOT feel those itches and distractions as much, you'll be able to hit a meditative state almost instantaneously at times!

    ☆☆☆With any $25 reading in June receive a FREE MP3 meditation!!!☆☆☆

I hope that helps you and anyone else that might be struggling with meditating!! Everyone remember to send me your questions at my email or facebook. Have a great day everyone!

    Many Blessings!
    Andi

    Manifesting with Candle Magick

I've always loved fire! Bonfires, birthday cakes, fireplaces on a cold winter night, and the flicker of little prayer candle flames. Fire is a sacred element and something humanity still highly relies on daily.. though we might not always be mindful of it!

Spiritually; the dancing candle flame can carry our hopes, dreams, prayers, and even our negative problems away from us and the light of the flames can be seen on all spiritual planes. There is a deep symbolism of creating light within the darkness.. of making a positive change. Because karma and ethics are something that really need to be considered as well. Do good, get good.. do bad, well, deal with it! ;) What's the sense in causing drama anyways? So just be sure of what you're REALLY trying to accomplish. Look at the "means" and the "ends". Why do you want more money? Why do you want the car or house? What is the end? Remember, just like anything, it takes time to develop a skill. So don't feel bad if things fall a little short the first couple times!! Practice makes perfect!!!

This is directly taken from notes I have when I was studying Feri.. The will of God, is YOUR TRUE WILL! You do not need the permission of God(s)/Spirit/Higher Power for spells and energy work. A spell is nothing more than WILL coupled with PASSION to create the power of manifestation!

    *How to perform candle magick*

1- PLAN AHEAD! Find the right time. It's not quite as simple as "Oh I'm just gonna light this candle and POOF!". Moon phases and specific planetary days (and even hours) can impact things quite a bit. Well, sometimes, I guess I should say. Honestly, it doesn't ALWAYS make a difference.. in a jam, you can do magick whenever you need. As I always say..NEED and WANT always can make a big difference. It will ALWAYS come back to purpose and intent.

2- Cleanse space. Dust, vacuum, get your area in tip top shape and dress it up to put you in the frame of mind you need!

3- Cleanse yourself. Ask that God(s)/Spirit/Higher Power remove any internal thoughts/blocks that may hinder your work; worry, doubt, resentment, etc.. Ask that your intention be made true for the working. Look at obstacles that are standing in the way and ask they be removed. KEEP CLARITY!

4- Prep your candle. Choose an appropriate colored, virgin (that means UNUSED!) candle to use. I like the mini 4" candles. They burn for about 2-2.5 hours, so for days of mulitple workings, they are perfect for burning 20-30 minutes at a time! :) You may or may not want to carve your name or some symbols into the candle.. hearts or venus symbol for love, dollar sign for money... but you will definitely want to annoint your candle with oil and charge it with your energy.

Annoint to bring something to you: Start at the top of the candle and rub the oil to the middle. Focus on what you are wanting to achieve. Then start at the bottom of the candle and rub the oil from the bottom to the middle and again focus on your intent. Alternatively, you can also rub the oil from top to bottom.

Annoint to release something: Start at the middle of the candle and rub the oil to the top. Let the negativity go. Now, focus on grounding your energy and rub the oil from the middle of the candle to the bottom. Or simply rub the oil from the bottom of the candle to the top.

To charge the candle: Simply hold the candle in your hands, take a few deep breaths, and focus on what you want to manifest! That's as complicated as it needs to get!! If you want, and we'll say you're doing a working for enhanced intuition, you could say a few words such as; "Candle flame that burns so bright, brings enhanced intuition, beyond my sight". Or something similar for your working! ;)

5- Light your candle! It's go time! Place your candle in the holder, and set it ablaze! Take a few moments and feel the energy that comes from the flame. Feel it's energy reaching up through the flame and sending out it's energy. You will also focus on feeling the energy of the Universe coming back the the candle, through the flame and out the bottom of the candle, back into the Universe. Then feel the gentle enegy of the Universe once more come up through the bottom of the candle and out the flame! Continue this visualization and focus on your intention. If you are doing a single day working, let your candle burn out. If you need to extinguish your candle for a second burning, NEVER blow it out; it's seen as "blowing the magick away".. I always just pinch it off with my thumb and finger, but you can use a candle snuffer as well.

6- Clean up. Any wax remnants will need to be tossed in the trash or buried to put any remaining energy in the Earth. It's important to let the magick happen and not obsess over if it's working or not. Keep the energy positive in knowing the energy you put into the work is for the best intentions!

    Important Correspondences

    Moon Lunar Phase
A basic "rule" to remember regarding moon phases is if your working is towards receiving or gaining something, perform your spell during a waxing or full moon. If you want to rid yourself of something, perform your spell during the waning moon.

New Moon: Begins on the day of the new moon to three-and-a-half days after. The time of the new moon is best for new ventures and new beginnings. Also for love spells, job hunting, and healing.

Waxing Moon: The time from the new moon, through the first quarter to the full moon. Best time to perform positive magick for love, desire, wealth and success, courage, friendship, luck or good health.

Full Moon: The time of increased perception. Proper time for magicks of intuition, prophetic dreams, psychic abilities, and fertility. Any spellwork that requires extra energy is best done during the full moon.

Waning Moon: The time from full moon, through the last quarter to the new moon. Best time to perform magick for removing negativity, ending bad relationships, breaking bad habits, and reversals.

    The Magick of Mudras

Yesterday I went to a book store I've been meaning to go to for a while. Haslam's has been family owned and run for many years and boasts a large used, and new, book selection. I definitely was impressed and scored myself some books that had that nice old, musty smell to them! While I was there I looked through just about every section.. thankfully they have 4 cats in the building, so the kids were even more amused. I was in the Buddhist/Eastern Studies area when I saw a book with a pretty cover.. Oh yes, I'm a very visual person.. I have had limited experience with mudras with some yoga and meditations, but never really looked into them too much. So while standing there thumbing through the book, I can only imagine my look with my jaw dropping more and more as I realized just how many mudras there really are and how much I do them unintentionally at times!

Mudras are a symbolic or ritual gesture and can involve the entire body, but most, and the more well known, are performed with the hands and fingers. They can be seen in many artworks and statues across many Eastern cultures and have been practiced and in use for thousands of years. Within yoga, holding a mudra while practicing pranayama (rhythmic breathing), you may stimulate different parts of the body while affecting the flow of prana in the body. There are many uses for mudras, as a form of spirituality, but also within healing practices as well!

When using a mudra, you will want to hold the finger positions with both hands. This will provide a more powerful effect, and will be more "balancing" than just using one hand. Also, try holding the mudra for as long as possible for the best results! However, we might not always have an hour a day to sit aside for a meditation. Especially when you might feel you need it at around 2 PM but you have deadlines to meet, kids to feed, and you know it'll be more like 10 PM when you get to meditate without an upset! You can also try spacing them out throughout the day for a 10-15 minute break! Sometimes those short "mini-meds" are just as good as the long ones!

There is a gentle beauty found within the mudras. Some are so simple you can do them inconspicuously right in front of people! I hope you will explore their influence and see what magick they can bring into your life! You may already be experiencing them, without already knowing it! I know I was pleasantly surprised at what I had read and even MORE surprised by the prompt I received with my $54.54 bill!!! Spirit works in some wondrous ways! I welcome any questions at facebook or email that you may have on the information I've found on mudras, meditating, spirituality or anything metaphysical!

    Your Psychic Pendulum

I get a lot of requests for teaching Tarot and about half of my students give up at some point! "There's too much memorization" or "I just can't make that connection to the cards" comes up quite a bit. And I tell ALL of my students; if you don't have a pendulum.. GET ONE!! Out of all divination tools, the pendulum HAS to be one of the simplest! There's no memorization needed of any kind. Heck, there's not very much training involved to get started! By the time you finish reading this, you should be more than ready to start using a pendulum!

Pendulums can be made out of a variety of materials, in a quick pinch you can use a necklace... I've used a piece of floss and a paperclip at work once! They can be extremely elaborate with crystals and beads or just as simple! There is an old wives tale of predicting an unborn babies sex by making a pendulum with taking a piece of the mother's hair and her wedding ring and holding it over the belly to see which way it swings! Pendulums can be seen throughout history and many cultures. I won't bore you with history though.. there's plenty of articles out there on it!

Choosing a pendulum is like any other magickal item you would use. There are quite a few you can buy from the internet... And that's very well fine and good since you'll be "programming" it with your energy anyways! But with any tool you use, sometimes it really can be best to have it in hand when you buy it! And as always, making it yourself makes it that much more YOURS!

You'll need to decide what type of pendulum you'd like. If you're just starting out, a plain metal one might be best so that you can get a feel of not only how the pendulum's energy is, but also how yours merges with it. If you've worked with crystals, you may choose one that resonates well with you. I have a few pendulums that I use. My primary one is citrine. I feel it just gives more more mental clarity and helps me form my questions better! When my focus is geared more towards utilizing the healing capabilities a pendulum has, I will use my clear and rose quartz! If I am looking into spirituality matters, an amethyst pendulum. Pendulums can be used for a whole lot more than just asking questions, I'll get to that in a few!

Once you have your pendulum, you'll need to cleanse and program it. Cleansing it can be as simple as holding it under cold, running water. Also, with crystal pendulums, sea salt rubbed on beforehand will help any negativity to "bond" to the salt and be washed away with the water! **Make sure if you use salt, your crystals won't react! IF you choose a metal pendulum, DO NOT USE SALT!! It may turn it black and won't look very pretty!** You will then want to spend a moment with your pendulum in simple meditation.

    1. Find a comfy spot to sit, hold your pendulum cupped in your hands. Take a few deep breaths and as you inhale, feel yourself filling with pure white energy. Feel it coming through the top of your head.. you may experience it as a waterfall, with the energy flowing quickly; or the energy may also travel a little slower. I've had people say sometimes the energy they pull in feels more like hot fudge! Warm and thick! Everyone is different and that's OK! .. the energy will travel through you and out your feet into the Earth. Now visualize the energy coming from the Earth, back through your feet and to your heart (more the center of your body, but visualizing the heart area gives the same intent). This is a "meeting point" for energy and how ALL energy is directed. Feel the energy flow through your arms, out your hands, and into the pendulum.

    2. You may want to ask that it only be used with pure intent or say a little chant to infuse your energy in. JUST REMEMBER: There really is no RIGHT or WRONG way to charge magickal tools! It's all dependent that our energy and our intentions are positive and aligned with our Higher Selves. The power and magick is always within the person, NOT THE TOOLS!!!

    3. Figure out how your pendulum "talks". First ask it to show you a "yes". After it starts to move, ask "Is this a yes?". Then repeat for a "no". Most, but NOT all, will swing back and forth for a yes; and side to side for a no. When a pendulum doesn't know, or when you may need to re-phrase your question it can swing erratically in a circle. I've also had people tell me a yes is shown to them as clockwise circling, no as counter-clockwise circling, and re-phrase is back and forth! Your spirit will know what is right for you. Pick a few yes and no "test" questions that you know the answers to such as your name and age. It is important that you never try to force an answer. You may try asking your questions in a different manner if the answer you're getting doesn't make sense.. but trying to get an answer that you just WANT.. WON'T WORK! If you don't want to know the truth, don't ask a pendulum!!

When you begin to phrase your questions, it can be really easy to think something like "Will I find love?". Well this can be tough, because what if you just LOVE that limited edition ice-cream that you happened to buy today?? Or "Should I buy this house?". You could buy the house, but it might have an endless amount of problems that you might not have thought about asking about and the inspector might have missed! It's really important to make sure you are phrasing your question properly to get the answer you're really looking for! The more detailed, the better! Vague questions usually produce the same in answers.

If you intend to use your pendulum for healing you can have the person in front of you or use a picture of them. You will need to make sure you have permission from them to perform the healing!! NEVER try to heal someone without asking them first! Then ask your pendulum if they CAN be healed. Sometimes, there are reasons for illness that need to be addressed before a healing can happen. If you do receive permission from the person and the pendulum, you can then focus the energy that comes through you and into your pendulum, out into the person to heal. Ask if the person has accepted the healing and then thank your guides and the healing light. If you are needing to try and find a proper treatment, you may make a list and then hold your pendulum over it to find the yes or no!

Pendulums can be used for a number of things! Finding a lost item, finding the perfect job or place to live... there are many different techniques that can be used! The main purpose is connection to your Higher Self which will always give you guidance in the direction you need to grow! You will need to cleanse and "re-charge" your pendulum periodically. To have the absolute BEST results always, keep your pendulum in a pyramid. Like all magickal tools, your pendulum will love soaking up the rays of the Full Moon!

Listed below are a few goodies!! I welcome any questions you may have about using a pendulum and can be contacted here or at Facebook!

    Many Blessings!!
